Does anyone know anything about a Lexus IS 250 F sport (2011)?

There are two types of test drive IMO. One to tell if the car is the right make/model/spec for you. The other is to check that the car works and is as described (only applicable to used cars).
If you haven't driven the make/model of Lexus before, you'd be best off going to see two or three of them to understand what they should be like. This will make it easier to understand whether there are any issues with the one you have seen.
Agree but it was Main Dealer and I was taking the Lexus Warranty/Dealer service as a given (with other marques I may have checked 'issues' more thoroughly). It was a 30 mile test drive on a selection of roads during which I failed to see that both 1st and 6th gears were pointless (zero response in 6th below 85mph) nor to notice the limitations of the communications system.
My bad - won't do it again, made a minimal loss (which could have been much worse) and now enjoying the Jag XFS that I'd convinced myself I couldn't justify at the time0
