Anywhere sim - UK & EU roaming sims, elderly/child/car
Options
Roaming on o2 (home network) and I believe Voda and EE, Manx Telecom (ex o2) have launched this service. 10p calls and per MB, 5p texts.
The cheaper 5p text, call or MB is o2 outgoing only but allows incoming activity on all 3 UK networks.
The EU sim is 12p calls, 10p a MB and all texts to all EU countries is 5p.
You can port your existing UK number in.

Looks perhaps OK. What I don't like (unless I've misunderstood) is that you have to pay for "service"?
On the Sims page, for example, the anywhere UK sims start at £10, with £10 credit but 30 day's service. Does that mean a top up is required every 30 days? Or that the £10 credit is lost?
EDIT: in the Ts and Cs:
3.4 Once your Pay As You Go Account has been credited you may receive calls on the Pay As You Go GSM service for the period of your applicable service. You may make calls until your credit is used up. To ensure continuous GSM Pay As You Go service, maintain your account in credit & service.
So it looks as though, if you buy the £10 sim, you can only receive calls for 30 days.0 -
Argos are giving away Anywhere £5 SIMS with certain purchases. How long are theses valid for?0

I'm not sure why anyone would want one of these, given the improvement in coverage on the networks and "free" EU roaming. The high cost of outgoing calls makes the use of the service expensive too... 1p Mobile (1p/min, 1p/text) and Three (3p/min, 2p/text) are both cheaper.
If the OP is correct that it uses O2 for outgoing calls, it defeats the point of roaming on any network.
When coverage was poorer, using Manx Telecom may have made sense for a few users, but not now.0 -
If you don't port a number in, what number range is assigned to these SIMs?
Is it one that is listed as non-inclusive when called from other UK providers?0
