I believe we should be working towards a world
    where everyone
    -has a clean water supply
    -an adequate food suppy
    -adequate shelter
    -adequate clothing
    -an adequate income
    -adequate educational opportunities
    -freedom for FGM
    -freedom of expression
    -freedom to vote
trial by jury of their peers
    -freedom from war
    -freedom to be lgbt
-freedom not be killed by your father/brother if they disapprove
    -freedon from religion
    -freedom not be raped
    -freedom from adverse climate change

    .....
    -and many other freedoms

I am shocked and appalled by your smug, self satisified, middle class, rich, profit orientated, westerm disregard for the real problems of the vast multitude of the people of the world

but yes, I would eventually welcome the free movement of people after all the other issues have been resolved.

Seems a bit like you went off on one, but you seem to be supporting a collective of spreading wealth among less wealthy countries, kind of like an EU of sorts...

    that is terrible propaganda

most productivity improvements are not substituteable for man power.

In fact I would like it very much if you can give a few good examples of real world decisions where a business has said ok lets not invest in x because I can hire a pole for £7.20/h to do it instead. I would also like to know in your estimate what proportion of businesses (by economic output) can and do have the ability to not invest in x because EU-migrant will do it for £7.20/h at a better quality and cost.
    .

Well many supermarkets do not have a car wash but allow a team of low paid workers to wash customer's cars.

My local Dominos pays people minimum wage to stand around with sandwich boards rather than pay for an advert on a bill board or electronic display

Loads of farmers choose to employ workers to harvest crops that could be harvested using automated means.

Outsourcing jobs abroad on helpdesks using cheap labour is common rather than investing in more sophisticated computer call screening

There are many warehouses that function with cheap labour when technology could be used to select stock
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

My position is clear. I voted remain but lost so I have been advocating getting on with leaving as soon as possible.
In fact I have been concerned that the British Government was dragging its feet.
    But no worry.
Things are happening BUT only today do we hear about some of it.

Any Brexiteers thinking that nothing was moving forward can now be reassured,

    I quote

"It was unclear whether all or just some payments from the ERDF have been suspended by the Treasury. But there are increasing signs that the suspension is affecting a large amount, if not all, of the smaller funding schemes that receive ERDF money. On 12 July, the BBC obtained a leaked report showing Greater Manchester was going to miss out on £320m of EU funding, including £176m from the ERDF. However, at the time, the Government insisted there would be "no immediate change" to EU programmes.

On Friday, The Financial Times reported funding for small businesses in the north of England, provided under an ERDF-backed scheme called Jeremie, could be delayed. Jeremie has provided a total of £415m, mainly to small and medium-sized companies, since 2010."
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

    no idea what you mean

but I am interested in practical solutions for current problems.

smug grandstanding about how the world ought or ought not to be is at best useless and at worse, has led to the death of 10s of millions and the enslavement of 100s of millions.

today it is practical for the UK to consider the wealthfare of the people of the UK:
when things change in the future then my views will change too.

so today, free movement of people would lead to war and the death of millions.

Seriously, what are you smoking? War would seem more likely if we put more barriers up. I doubt that free movement of people would lead to the death of millions as it had not previously.

I think you will find that both sides of the argument want the best for the UK.

Rather than stopping immigrants, how can we get rid of useless British people sponging off the state? I would rather have gainfully employed immigrants to be honest.

I'm appalled that you claim to want a big list of stuff but then (unknowingly I assume) vote to move us away from delivering the things on this list and more toward isolationism.

Achieving what you want will take team work, but the UK just kicked the rest of the team in the nuts and flicked two fingers at them.

    Good work.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

Brexit seems like a wise move if the events of the weekend in Germany are an indicator. Hopefully the UK will be out by the time Germany starts doling out EU passports to the extremists who came in under the cover of the Syrian refugee crisis.
