Stop ambushing my competition Arghhhhh!!!

Options
For gawd sake I wish people would stop ambushing Facebook and Twitter competition posts with their grumbles about the company sponsoring the Prize.
Win an Easter Egg with MyHermes!!
"It would arrive broken no doubt cause my kids toy did"
Win a Toy from Argos!!
"wouldn't have it given by your company, everything you sell is naff and arrives late"
etc.,etc.,etc.
I know compers won't do this so not getting at compers.
Does it grate anyone else or do you blank it out?
I'm nosey so I like to have a look at what they are moaning about, but think why not PM the company or go through customer service or something.
Arghhh rant over. Ta Ta!!

Some of them are stupid enough to post their invoice/reference/account numbers and their personal emails too and demanding the company to get back to them!

I saw one (Morrisons I think) where I couldn't see ANY comp posts, just moaning minnies. I pity the poor souls who have to respond to them, they must get really depressed.

I agree with what you are saying but sometimes people are at their wits end with trying to resolve issues and the company have their facebook page set up so that no one can post or send a message. If this is the case then I do feel that there is justification.

Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help :)
  • Justification? There are plenty of posts they can comment on but they ALWAYS choose a comp post. No there is no justification and i have no interest in their whining. Absolutely getting ridiculous almost to the point of equalling the sob story comments. How much intelligence does it take to pick up a phone to CS or write a letter? They deliberately target comp posts thinking they'll get sympathy from entrants and because comp posts have the most comments. It has nothing to do with complaining to the company but to do with trying to get attention and sympathy from posters.

I don't care if they're at their wits end they need to get a grip and go through proper channels instead of foot stamping and attention seeking and dragging everyone else into it. Actually feel quite sorry for Morrisons who have it a lot on their comps. They stay quite calm though lol

I haven't looked that closely to see what posts they target, but when I say at wits end this is after they have gone through every normal channel not just hitting social media at the start. Personally I would rather not tell the world my business but I am sure there are some people who have only gone onto social media as a last resort. I agree though there are probably many that hit social media from the beginning which is uncalled for and ruins it for those who have exhausted the correct & private route to begin with.

Clearly their tactics work, they get far more exposure posting there instead of just to the page and it puts more pressure on the company to sort it out.
