Hertz, car hire - better prices
face-t
Posts: 67 Forumite

This info is mainly directed to those that prefer or have to use this company. I can't say what is comparison to other companies.
I just saved £100 on my deal in Spain [over 2 weeks] comparing UK price and AU price, and at this specific location it was cheapest car in it's class.
When it comes to other locations... I have checked 2 other ones and average saving should be like 20GBP over 2 weeks.

I'm not getting the same as you.
UK
AU
UK £151
AU £177
SFO 1st to the 8th of September inclusive.0 -

It will not work for everyone I guess
In below example it is like 33% savings on BMW [divide dollar price by 2 to get roughly £ value]
Quoting for 14 days instead of 13 can save a lot of pounds too0 -
Will give it a go on my next rental to see what is offered and if it works out,0

Do these prices actually include the holiday?
If not, then this is surely better in the car hire forum!0 -
Just booked a week hire using hertz.com.au for my Menorca holiday, it's almost 3x cheaper than the UK sit. Is this really legit? It has free cancellation too.0

Opel Corsa for 11 days from Tenerife South at the end of this month.
hertz.au = €202
Rentalcars.com = €75.
Go figure.0 -

Go figure.
Same company or a company that will charge upfront for fuel and just about everything else?
I don't know what it is you expect us to "go figure".... or is that just a silly Americanisation?0 -
