I only had a car when it was repaired which was supplied by the repair company.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I have never had an accident before.

They probably didn't, but unless they have actually claimed their costs back why would it be closed as non fault?

Because nothing was claimed from the Kwik Fit policy.

The repairer referred the OP to a solicitor for which they were paid circa £300 and also referred them to a credit hire company for which they received circa £350

I find it strange they closed the claim in that case then. What happens if the credit hire company don't recover any funds?

Kwik Fit did not provide the Credit Hire vehicle, it's provided by an independent company under a Credit Agreement the OP signed

I'm still waiting for this to be settled by a solicitor allocated to me by the car repair company. Kwik fit have never written to me about the accident and said its closed off as s non fault claim

She didn't have a credit hire car, looks like one from the body shop. But anyway that's not what I meant. She has had the claim closed as non fault, her car has been repaired and returned. What is she loses at court. Who pays for the repair to her car?

The credit hire company would take the hit themselves wouldn't they? It wouldn't generally rebound on the OP's insurer. At least the OP's. we repair bill wouldn't - a claim from the third party might stil materialise if they're serious about denting liability.

OTOH the OP mentions having to recover her excess, which does imply a claim on her own policy. That said, with respect to her, he shedoes seem a bit confused about what process is being followed, which makes it hard to be sure ourselves.

The car the garage provided was almost certainly a Credit Hire.

If the claim loses in court and assuming it's a Credit Repair, then it depends on what it says in the credit agreement she's signed. Some will make her responsible but most won't and will swallow the costs.

I was told by service underwriting that the car repair was covered and approved by them, the solicitor hasn't dealt with anything at all to do with the car or repairs.
Any idea how long this sort of thing will take? Will I actually have to go to court?

I am so sorry at my lack of knowledge, I have been passed from pillar to post so not sure on what has been happening.

The latest from my solicitor is that court proceedings have been issued, and I have to wait to hear on what happens next.
