BT bill out of the blue

Hi

I have SKY for line rental, phone, TV and BB. I had BT years ago and have always retained my btinternet.com email address. I received an email saying they were changing the email and moving me over to a new system which doesn't appear to have caused any issues. However, today I received a letter saying "sorry you're leaving us" and a final bill for £76.10. I have no idea what this bill is for and it doesn't say other than its a "final bill". I've also not told them that I'm leaving (don't know what they think I am leaving tbh as I don't pay them for anything)I've tried to look on the internet for some answers with no luck and getting fed up of being on hold to BT to try and clarify. Can anyone help or has had the same letter?? TIA

I doubt is for keeping the @btinternet.com address, that's about £1.60 a month , unless the OP moved to Sky about 4 years ago, and even then they cannot charge retrospectively , they should just delete your account if you don't specifically agree to be charged to keep it... it may be a (very) late bill for the BT service that existed before Sky became the OP's provider, all you can do is contact them and ask what the charge is for, or look back and see if you did agree to pay £1.60 ish to keep the email address
