the 4 packs are RTC to £3 in my A so potential CC/HD V M. Do we know if they're picking up morries price..
I'm compiling a CC for Mon vM so might put some in to test. Trouble is I'm near to APG limit so need to be careful.

You should be okay on Monday, as that is a new month:D. And the £3 price for M will still be in the system if they picked it up last Wednesday like they should have done.

As usual, I don't know if it is picking up the M price or not. We never know until we see someone buy it on a womble - which is less chance of them buying the items we want them to buy as they are quite expensive in A - though this we might get them buying at £3 RTC instore:(:T (frown that they paid too much to A as, if they'd used CC/HD maybe they would not have done but :T as it would allow us to see if it worked) - just depends on how big the "Reduced to clear" label in the store is I feel:(:rotfl: - it's all about attracting people's attention when shopping instore or, obviously, if the SEL isn't changed, might not sell as much - the only other way of us finding out if it works is by one of us doing a test.

I can't see why it should not be picked up and I would think that it should be, so from my POV I can't see why this isn't a goer - there should not be a problem them picking up the price in M - although as ever we don't know and can't say that it will work.

I thought the general concensus was that the APG limit runs on a rolling month and does not reset on the 1st of the month ?

Interesting - I always check the apples in aldi but our store never has apples under £1 and now you have mentioned the weight issue as well as the number of apples in a bag you have have got me wondering - is the weight on the bag?

I don't think the weights are on bags of apples in Aldi. There mustn't be any requirement for them to be stated - I do wonder though and they don't really have scales in Aldi or Lidl so you can't check if the fruit/veg. you are getting (I weigh lose individual swedes:rotfl:) is really of good value! I weigh bags of apples in M as well when I can which, again, is another odd thing to do! Especially when the approx. weights are stated on them - but then they can have quite huge variations - and vary from week to week - even day to day sometimes - and there is (as ever) a logical reason for making sure that you are getting value for money.

Your Aldi should have some apples on Super6 at 59p - I can't see why you are having trouble finding them in your store, especially if you are not going out last thing at night.

I've concluded that it is the number of apples that is important (or more important), rather than the weight, as I never eat two-thirds or half an apple at any one go:rotfl:. (How could you preserve such an apple, having bitten into at least some of it, if it is not being fully consumed apart from the bits left (such as the pips) thrown away?)
Since I started buying 8 or 9 pack of apples - even though the weight can sometimes be less - I have been getting through the packs much more slowly and as a result buying apples less often:money:. Therefore, make sure you get the 8 pack of Braeburn on the Super6 rather than the 6 packs that they seem to have mixed in:rotfl:. Unless there really aren't any 8 packs available in your store - have a look at the general run as well as the Super6 place - but, if you buy a pack of 6, you will get through them much sooner (and thus be paying more money by having to buy apples again quite soon!). If you can a find 9 pack, well...:T

I now look at number rather than weight, when I'm shopping, personally. I do find the bags are lasting, because they are more apples in them, and we are therefore getting through fewer bags, buying them less often and therefore saving money! (It's also a bit of a nuisance to have to keep returning to a shop for yet more as they've only lasted three days and you've ran out already! I think the less you shop, the better - you also won't be influenced as often by impulse buys when you are there if you are not there very much - giving whichever shop it is less opportunity to sell to you, simply because you don't visit them as often:money:. Everything they do tries to encourage us to do the opposite.) When looking at the prices for my lists, I still look at weight, and also number, a bit of both I think! HTH.

I blame Morrisons for this one. For not only failing to have 3 pack:( Yorkie on £1 offer but also failing to have the McCain Microchips on £1 offer for any decent length of time IMO. As a result, just 63p off 10% cheaper than T.

5 items on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda morrisons
    1x Bisto Beef Lasagne (375G) £1.00 £1.00
    1x Seriously Tasty Pasties Traditional (195G) £0.50 N/A
    1x Warburtons 2 Giant Crumpets (2PK) £0.50 £0.70
    1x McCain Crinkle Cut Micro Chips (4X100G) £1.70 £1.76
1x ASDA Smoked Haddock Fillets with Butter (240G) £4.00 N/A
    1x Sharwood's Chicken Tikka Masala with Rice (375G) £1.00 £1.00
    1x Yorkie Original Multipack (3X46G) £1.00 £1.48
    1x Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules (8S) £2.50 N/A
Comparison total (compared products only) £5.20 £5.94
    cheaper +£0.74

I think they should have bought two packs of giant crumpets if they really needed them at all. Is it still 2 for £1 on those in M? If they didn't need them, they should have definitely put another item on the shop as they need at least 8 items to appear though - and should have been one that compares way cheaper at T than A's initial price!

    Vs T
1x McCain Crinkle Cut Micro Chips (4X100G)£1.70£1.80
:(Ten per cent contribution off much less good full price.

In fact, I think M is 2 for £3 now (pretty expensive!) but would have been better, if it's picked up, to have bought two of them not one. And then not bought the Yorkies but something much better (for me) vs M (perhaps some Persil capsules:rotfl:). However, of course we have to go by what they buy and it's no use me telling other people how the shopper should have shopped as the shopper themselves doesn't get the message! And they'd definitely want the receipt to themselves if I could tell them, and they could listen, rather than leaving it around for me:rotfl:!:T:(:) (A bit, as it's just 63p:(.)

    The situation

There are 5 houses in five different colors.
In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.
The question is: Who owns the fish?

    Hints

the Brit lives in the red house
the Swede keeps dogs as pets
    the Dane drinks tea
the green house is on the left of the white house
the green house's owner drinks coffee
the person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
the owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
the man living in the center house drinks milk
the Norwegian lives in the first house
the man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
the man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
the owner who smokes BlueMaster drinks beer
    the German smokes Prince
the Norwegian lives next to the blue house
the man who smokes blend has a neighbor who drinks water

    No cheating:rotfl::rotfl:

I know the answer to that! Isn't this an old Einstein riddle? :)
