Afternoon all. Hope everyone is well as not read back yet.

    Can anyone help please ?
My car tax is paid monthly and I'm planning to sorn my old car in Feb and get a newer one so I have cancelled the dd for 1st Feb so they don't take the money. On Sunday I will take it off the road and then sorn it.
However just had email from car tax stating that my bank has informed them I have cancelled my dd so I must either sorn immediately or tax the vehicle. I thought my Jan 4th payment was for the month of January. Does anyone know how this works please. Tia xx

    Possible TBG.
But no 10% so not even as good as Carlsberg 4 pack on APG vs M if that works. I wouldn't even buy in M at straight £3:rotfl:. Of course, the Savers/SP, which are same size, are 89p:money:(:rotfl:) - I think they were trying to sell some of the Savers ones on the reduced shelf the other day in M as individual cans at 25p each:eek:. Pull the other one!:rotfl::rotfl::wall:

    Tetley's Original Bitter (4x440ml)

    £3.75 21.3p / 100ml

    [Strike]£3.75[/Strike]
    £3.00

Whoops! This was £2.48 in M in April last year according to msm. Told you I wouldn't buy at £3:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (and that includes TBG which is effectively the same*). It is not getting to the list, and therefore why I've mentioned it here.

*Or for most people I suspect, who don't target shops, is actually worse - will end up paying £3.75 T price as they've 'saved' vs M on something else elsewhere in their shop. (In fact, T itself has suggested before that that is the way that most people shop - T are fully aware of it.)

I did of course notice this the other night:

    http://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jan/22/unilever-shrink-magnum-cornetto-ben-jerry-feast-cut-calories

Another newspaper article where the 'truth' is, it seems to me, let out of the bag right at the very end:

“People will never do the maths and the price is not interesting. What’s interesting is the benefit of keeping calories lower. If there’s an ethical issue it’s that the idea of less calories might lead to people eating more ice-cream than before.”

As for "one portion" size, I think for us one portion is 500ml!:rotfl: I suspect, indeed, all it will do is clearly people will get through one tub much quicker now - so, as well as being more expensive on the volume in the tub, they'll simply buy more tubs and pay even more! Which is, possibly, probably, part of the idea. Look out for the old bigger sizes though - some stores might be wanting to clear them out at reduced prices, before the lower volume lower value versions are introduced, that are then to be avoided completely as costing even more! If the old higher volume products go on offer real cheap, just before they clear them out, then it makes the new ones even more costly by comparison!

Princes tinned pies £1 in A:mad:, so they stay off the list!

EDIT: And Dairylea Dunkers £1 too:(. But watch on these items as some more favourable (much more expensive) price might come on:cool:. Tuc Crackers 50p - hopeless, near-useless price match and just a few pence 10%:(:p:rotfl:.

I think that one took me a couple of days, then it sort of did itself :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
