When I had pneumonia my DD got on the phone and practically begged them for an appointment on that day, and actually managed to get one! Lucky though, the doc said if I had left it another day then I would have been in hospital. Didn't have the energy to point out how difficult it is to get an appointment lol. The problem round our way is a lot of Nepalese, who always insist on a translator and always insist on a double appointment. They take up a lot of time because the vast majority of them here are of an older generation.
I consider myself really lucky with our Dr's. Can always get an appointment, they have a limited amount you can pre-book for the following week, or you can phone in morning for same day. I've always managed to get one. They also do both a Dr and a Nurse daily telephone surgery, which I've made much use of (including today!). Been very useful for me in getting new sicknotes for example, where I don't actually need to see a Dr, but a quick telephone call and its all sorted. Same thing for all my catheters and related stuff, have been able to have phone conversations instead of having to trek to the Dr each time.Thanks. I will keep the physio appt and try anothers drs appt in meantime. Our surgery used to do same day appts and it seemed to work well. Also we have this new online service where you can get an online discussion with dr so I might try that. You are supposed to be able to see your medical records on there but all it shows are your meds.
I will write to my MP as I was going to write to him this week as our main market place post office is being moved to our local spar store in a few months. There is no parking and it is a really small store and we have a very busy post office. It is near my house and parking is a real problem already with lots of people parking outside our houses already when they go to work in town. It will be a nightmare
Any chance of changing Dr? Slightly radical idea I know, but might be better in terms of getting appointments etc?0 -

Me and MG are going into town today to look for a dress for me for the wedding - he's like "why do I need to go with you?" Um it might be something to do with you've got your suit sorted and line the *exact* colour I need to be looking for lol. He just hates shopping. I'll drag him around a few other shops while we're there
Enjoy your shopping, x. Now while there if you can pick me 3 dresses for the mmore curvy lady. One with red in as dd2 wants me to match her theme, one pastel colours to match dd1 theme and the other you can have free rein for nephews wedding, thanjs so much xx0 -

Tell me more please?
We are all friends from Bingo
like a bingo card, except instead of numbers it was baby items like dummy, baby monitor, sleepsuit etc it was 5 x 4 (20 squares) and drawn out the same as bingo. It would be really easy to make I think as it wasn't overly fancy but was very popular0 -

We played this one at one I went to recently but if you google it there seem to be a few printable ones
We also played stick the dummy on the baby (basically pin the tail on the donkey)There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
Good morning everyone.
Got DS1 off, he suffers terrible with migraines. In my experience, teenage boys turn into grunting stroppy little sods at the age of 14, they then emerge about 19 and discover what it is to be human again.
The bad hygiene tends to disappear the minute they discover girls!
I totally agree.Sunshinemummy wrote: »And then they shower five times a day, and go through a tin of deodorant every day!
