Ooops sorry, just seen this. Was comparing ok two days ago against T. But Ive just seen its comparing against M's again.
hth
I may have been comparing against T alright a week ago, or even a couple of days ago, but not now as T are a beggar and shove their price up again!:mad:
Regarding M, it is not comparing against M again (in the sense of comparing favourably) - not if you buy one of the extra mature it isn't.0 -
I actually think I know the answer to this, was it actually a red RTC sticker the one where the SA have to peel back and scan the original barcode then reduce price manually on till as these do show on APG. It is usually the way grocery reductions are done.
The fresh produce (meat, bakery and veg) that have yellow RTC labels that scan are ok they do not show on APG. HTHs.
I think you are right. There are different types of stickers, some of them appear - we have 'lowest priced bananas' appear on the APG at cheap price and then compare to competitors at much more expensive 68p/kg standard price. Yet we have 'reduced' items that do not appear. I think if it's described as "Reduced" on the receipt, it is a no-show. However, the manual reduction of prices is a no-no (unless you are sure they are N/A at your targetted shop - they'll otherwise inevitably be much more expensive?). Unless: :Dthere is an mbuy in the system, that is more expensive than the individual price you pay, preferably much more expensive, and then you buy the mbuy number instore at the manually reduced price. Should then compare from the more expensive A mbuy that is online;).
I now wish the fresh produce, e.g. meat, where it is on mbuy online (and compares favourably at mbuy price to somewhere else) was on a red sticker and manually reduced by SAs:rotfl:.0 -
fluffybunny wrote: »I think if the barcode is on the reduced sticker it doesn't show on the results.
If the reduced sticker doesn't have a barcode, they use the barcode of the product and then reduce it on the till. These DO show on APG
Correct. (I think.)
If it has a barcode and appears as "Reduced" on the receipt, it won't show. If there is no barcode, and they use the barcode of the product that will then be identified as the product on the APG and will appear at the actual price you pay (unless you hit an mbuy that is in the APG system, then it will appear at the mbuy price if you hit it exactly; if you go over, e.g. 2 for £3 is in the system but you buy three, it will show calculated as 2 for £3 plus the individual price for one that you paid).
The T&Cs say that excluded from the APG are...
19.
"Any item carrying a 'Whoops' label in our stores (displayed as 'reduced' on your till receipt) as these are store specific mark downs and will not apply nationally or on our Grocery website. "
I think you are right though - as, even if it says "Whoops", but if it has no BC, the SA will enter a BC and they will then cause the product to appear, normally at the price you pay:(, on the APG.
However, I think my mbuy thing - where you would have to know the whoopsies in advance and what they were online or how they compared (maybe one for Savvy!) - could work. Maybe watch out for the A own brand bread on whoops in future - if it has no BC and then they enter it - buy 2 at whoops but have 2 for £1 on APG? You then do not want it to be "Reduced" on your receipt, you want it to be entered (two separate purchases) manually. 2 for £1 but 45p each at S or W?0 -
Savvybuyer wrote: »Maybe 2x Extra Mature would work vs M?:rotfl: It may have M mbuy in the system - albeit with incorrect individual price of £4 - thus £4 and 2 for £4 but not in the APG as being in the same M offer as the Mature version. It's a possibility. However, I will assume Extra Mature is off vs M and now only vs W.
Do we know if Lighter Mature works vs M?
I'm working this out myself - I think (vs M) Extra Mature is off, Mature works, Mild works but I don't know about Lighter Mature.
Anyone either know if Lighter Mature picks up M mbuy or whether 2x Extra Mature works against M? TIA.
Savvy, I think it's because Vintage Cheddar was included in the shop, wasn't recognised in the Multibuy so the 'other' bogof item wasn't compared?
I was passing by an A today and popped in (as one does) for a couple of impromptu shops. I was working from memory and didn't realise the Turkey Mince wasn't working. Overall not too bad, the Mature & Lighter Cheddar worked ok and the Blackjacks with Chubba Chups did too. (Thanks for that Savvy, 5 packs sweets for 34p)

So an odd number of cheeses bought in total.
Vintage Cheddar shouldn't have been bought I feel, although the Extra Mature should not be £4 individual price for M, it should be £3 and 2 for £4. If two of it picks up the 2 for £4 for M however, then it wouldn't matter.
So, Chupa Shootz and Blackjacks work after all.:T May be some As and not others however as some seem not to have the Shootz in the mbuy anymore. Is this a supermarket vs superstore thing?
I shall not go to the trouble of putting the Shootz back onto the list, having removed them before when I was told this didn't work (in a shop where the store it seems didn't have the Shootz on the mbuy) - we know the Blackjacks work (at this very moment) and that the Shootz are a hidden trigger (where they are on the mbuy in the store shopped in).
I like the Blackjacks:D:

Just hope my Lindt Selection turns out to be on RTC instore and that it compares against M now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Obviously if that unlikely combination were to be pulled off successfully, it would be a CC/HD.0

The Domestos Original Bleach is £1 against M. Due to the individual price in A being so low (£1.10:( instead of much nicer £1.98) I frowned when that was on 2 for £2 mbuy. And then considered it like an A r'back (not liking straight £1 price on some cleaning items at the moment:p) and nearly worthless trying to find an invisible trigger. I omit items when they are 'no good' due to A being on r'back at the moment (and thus reducing the APG on them to a few pence).
However...
If the Domestos Pink is really 50p instore, then maybe one only of that on CC/HD vs £1 at M/W/S? =30p.
Or... maybe buy 2 at 50p each instore and then 2 for £2 vs £1 each at the three competitors?:D Might make them 40p each.
The Ironing Water is cheaper vs M. However, I leave that off due to me considering it not to be of any use - what is the need to pay for ironing water?:doh: - I use ordinary tap water in my irons.0 -
I'm going - I'll hopefully see what's changed in M today (such as I can) and be back again later for yet another week!:):rotfl::rotfl:
Bye!:wave::wave:0 -
