Oh dear sounds like you've a challenge on your hands. Would he listen to his dad perhaps? I'm a step mum too, have been for 40 yrs & it isn't easy. Good luck, hope you manage to get him cleaning more regularly. He might have just said that to shock you though.
The mouth normally heals quite quickly so fingers crossed yours will soon feel back to normal.
I totally believe him. He used to come up here in the socks and pants I sent him home with the week before.
I've stopped nagging him to clean his teeth, change pants and socks and to wash. They end in massive arguments and as he said I'm not his mother.
I've cut out at least 5-6 recurrent arguments and he still is so grumpy. He hasn't spoken to us properly for almost 3 weeks now sigh. Oh well. Hopefully he'll grow out of it.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

What is wrong with his mother??????0 -
I can see the funny side too! Decided to give my older, much better quality phone set to dd. Had considered getting one as part of her Xmas present but decided against it so perhaps I wasn't meant to then. My whole house needs a massive de clutter but I just can't be ruthless like some. The phone problem was a good excuse not to start today. Hopefully I'll find another excuse tomorrow.

A couple of things adding to basket at Mr Shoes - just managed to successfully check out Champneys Luxury Manicure kit and Hairy Bikers Flavour To Savour Tasty Meat Rubs
The Champneys kit is lovely but I've not charged it up yet nor used it. It fits in the bottom of the wardrobe for now
I've just out the Jelly Belky Set in to my wish list as it is now showing iOS  It is showing as £10 in there so please be carful folks X

I do agree with picking your battles (and I would leave the battles to his father), but 3 weeks of not talking I think I would expect my OH to resolve this by now! You must have the patience of a saint x100 -

I think it is probably parr for the course. My ds1 railed against dh to begin with, well for a few years. It was only as he got older he realised that dh had done more for him, cared for him more than his biological had.
On the other hand ds2 hadn't seen his biological from being a baby, under 6 months old, until he was in his 20s. Move forward a few more years and dh and I have been dumped so to speak. We've not seen ds2 for about 3 1/2 years. I still visit his 2 little girls and his wife whom he deserted. Give the lad more time and I'm sure he will come roundThere's no place like home

:hello: I'm part way through M list updating and now only got just under a page, plus the few items I still had to check (the potential extra H&S shampoos etc.) from Wednesday.
For those of you wondering, particularly in England and Wales where the shops closed much earlier, why, at about half past three this afternoon, I put the Deep Sandwich Tin, the offer on which is due to expire today, onto the list, there is a logical reason for this from my POV. It's because I'm a completist and the list has to be, as of a given moment, complete (even though it never is:rotfl:). It's supposed to have been comprehensive and complete from the outset - well, so much for that idea:rotfl::rotfl:! As part of this new update, I've now put the new items, from this session, on the list in bold - so you can see, so far, how many I had previously missing! There must be at least in excess of 50 items that I did not have on there before (or which have been on the list before but which, it seems, had been prematurely removed - the vast majority of what I've ever had RTC now seems should have been kept on the list as some of it is still available in at least one M store somewhere - different stores for nearly every item:rotfl:!). And there are still quite a few items to add.
I now have the Keep It Handy Microfibre Cloths (3) on there at 48p but, with the Beldray Microfibre Cloths (4) being 50p, and therefore cheaper per cloth, did I make a mistake? However, I think the Keep It Handy ones are better. As to the Beldray ones, although they are OOS in some stores (that's where there's any indication of them at all), I think they may well continue to be around in some M for some time. I found, in one M, the price labels had been ripped off and turned away, perhaps the staff not wanting people to know they are 50p(or maybe they'd just ripped off the much higher price of several pounds from before and had yet to put 50p price labels on them?), and, seemingly as a result, there was a lot of stock left. Back to the updating now - just before I go again, to that, I've been finding a few items where Mr T turns out to be better priced than the other supermarkets - it's been eye-opening - although :doh:Mr T has been cheaper before that what they now are - and T's Finest Fish Stock (450ml) looks like an example of an item that is better priced, by volume, than Fish Stock in other stores. So, maybe a TBG filler:D. If that's at all worthwhile:(. Not often I suggest buying T Finest:rotfl:.
