Popped into B&M, most of their Xmas stock was 10p at the till, wrapping paper, napkins, paper plates, gift bags etc.
Not much left though.
:hello: Blink and you'll miss the question about the paper plates that is buried in my post below!
I've got lots to do as usual, I've caught up with the glitches - fortunately nothing that I would ever use but I did very well out of the DW tabs a week ago and, come on, soup at 24p:eek:? Given that we had 10p Heinzs and the WWs are smaller tins (295g vs 400g), 24p seems quite a lot:rotfl::rotfl:. (That is of course the price that people regularly pay on SP Soup.)
As for Morrisons - I thought you'd ask:D - there seems not much change in M itself, although I have picked up a few more items again. The OEPs have gone from £1.81 to £2, which you know is no good for me - £1.81 was just pushing it getting onto the list as some of them went down to £1.64 at some brief moment last year. So, they'll be removed from the list. I think I might get the Cathedral cheeses belatedly onto the list - surprised that the glitch on the A price has lasted more than a day.
Lots of conflicting price info. showing for me in M today - I've never had to take so much stuff to the tills for checking:eek::( - so I don't know what the APG will make of the confusion (that's if there is confusion in their stores). Speaking of SP tinned soups, I've had the M Savers equivalents of Chicken and Tomato showing 30p for me in a small number of stores I've seen over the past week - and I had one such store today - 1 out of 6 - so maybe they went up to 30p briefly in some period between price collections, which hopefully doesn't affect us, but one of the tins of soup in M - I'm sorry I couldn't check both of them! - scanned at 24p, in a "30p" store, so it looks like they are 24p. Hopefully, the APG will not get a 30p store or, if they do, they are more likely to encounter 24p stores so will take the lowest price, but just to be aware of the probably small chance that these two SP soups might end up 24p vs 30p M on the update soon. I expect 24p vs 24p however.
And on the DW tablets, I don't know what the APG will make of 30 pack Finish Quantums - they should be £6 M - however I have two stores showing £11:eek: on the Lemon version, and one of those stores also full price on the Regular, together with, I think, a further store full price on the Regular version, so - although the offer is on in M - again be aware of the possible confusion on that.
The Apricots are still 2 for £1.50 - however, I have not many Ms showing the mbuy now for me (only one out of my 6 is displaying it), therefore I think they will fail on the APG. Also the frozen own brand Chicken Grills - the mbuy is not showing in a majority of my Ms checked today - they are on mbuy (2 for £3) but again just to be aware that not many Ms were showing that for me this time so it's possible the APG could get full price:eek:. It may just be the stores I happened to check.
On the B&M Paper Plates at 10p, I suspect they beat the price that I've got from M? How many paper plates in the B&M packs please? I have a 10 pack of paper plates at M as being 30p - however I imagine that is beaten by B&M? TIA.
The Black Contrast plate, bowl and whatever else I have on my list(:rotfl:) - I think there is a mug too - maybe that is me!:rotfl: - because, they have gone from £1, which I thought was okay (apart from the mug, I won't pay £1 for a mug hence its omission from my list), to 75p - however if you bought at 75p, you've paid too much:(, as they are now 50p. It's a problem determining when they are at their lowest price. I'll update the 50p onto the list later - and probably add the mug as well.
Also, the Mini Daffodil - I thought that was too small to be buying at £1 really. That is now 50p as well. Or you can have a bunch of daffodils at £1 (or maybe the APG will work again on that now?).
The loose ginger has gone up from £2.93/kg to £3.93:eek:/kg, however I suspect they will miss it off again:D even though now A is well below 10% cheaper (it was slightly not 10% cheaper before) - although I doubt it now matters that much if we only buy 1p. M now nearly as expensive as Sains on the ginger!
The Olza Prince Polo is now no longer on mbuy. The Black Energy drink is now straight full price and no longer 3 for £1.00. There is also a change on the own brand energy drinks - and I seem to have the stores settling on a consensus today of 3 for £1.20 on the 250ml own brand, some stores showed 3 for £1 last week. So I think the mbuy price has gone back up to what it was. The Cadbury Sticky Puds and Kipling puddings have gone from £1 to 2 for £3 once again:(. The Coco Pops and Crunchy Nut Porridge packs offers have ended. The UB rice 500g have doubled in price, but I don't think anyone would be buying those ones anyway:rotfl:! The Pot Noodles multipacks are off as well, after barely a week on offer it seems.
I assume that the Gino's Chicken (500g) is no longer £2 - that is not stocked in any of the stores I've seen today (or any of my own) but I had the offer down as already expired by now. The Surf 23 washes are off. The Lenor 76 wash 1.9L Summer has gone back up from £2.63 to £5.25. The Doves that were £3 of course are now back up again. The Air Wick Compact and Max Gadgets are now all, I think, full price. The own brand shower gels are no longer 67p but some higher price.
Finally, a couple of items that may be going on - but probably both of them having to be bought in M as I think the APG does not work on them.
Loose Broccoli - I had a store showing £1.42/kg for me last time, which caused me to change the price to that, but I now have most stores showing £1.36/kg again. However, I have a single store showing £1/kg. Five stores showing £1.36/kg. So, maybe, that one store is the only one of my sample that has changed its SEL. If loose broccoli is £1/kg in M, then I think it would be a 'buy in M' as I do not think this works on the APG - I think the fact M's has been called a Broccoli "Crown" before has confused them:(.
And Savers frozen peas have now more clearly gone down to 69p (for 900g). I think this will be missed on the APG:( as they don't identify that M's product is, just, at the margin of the weight range. Therefore, that too will now be a buy in M. However, if you are using APGs, perhaps wait for A to change its price of its 1Kg version to match M's price per kg. - I suspect that might happen as the supermarkets always like to match each other prices. They do so, often, coincidentally, on weights even where they weight differs - so much so that, only the other day, I was able to predict what the price of one item at a competitor was going to be when I saw the price per kg had changed at one of the supermarkets. And, sure enough, the other place - different price obviously as different weight - was now also a changed price - I had it absolutely spot on - still matching the price per kg.! So, I suspect, SP Peas might come down in price quite soon - so, as it seems you don't get 10% off M's price, and A at the moment is more expensive (rather than being roughly the same price before M's now price reduction), it's buy in M or - if you are using APGs and shopping at A instead of M - wait first for A probably quite soon to put its price down to be roughly the same price per kg. as M. Not yet! Still 78p in A - needs to come down a bit to match M (per kg.).
Lots to do - as and when I get to reaching it:rotfl:.0 -
Offer looks to be ending on these, but apg should see full price. (If A. play the game!!):D

Serendipitious wrote: »That's annoying. I think they are using the N/A as and when they feel like it, just like T's do sometimes.
I still don't think they are. If they did, they'd have control over what glitches and I think their system doesn't allow them to do that. On the Bold capsules, that's a lot of different information for their system to have to pick up. "Bold", "washing capsules", "Lotus Flower", "Lily", "29 washes". I had thought it might have to do with a weight issue - sains.co.uk might have a weight whereas a.com/the APG has number of washes. However, I see sains.co.uk has the number of washes; however it says Bold "2 in 1" so, maybe that is what has caused it not to be picked up. My speculation as usual.
I think there is something up with T changing the BE veg. mix to N/A. I can't see how it should be missed so much - unless they literally have conflicting prices in the Ms they check - but, for me, all of the ones I've seen have £1. They'd have to have £1 in one of their three, perhaps £2 in another and the third store not to stock the product in order for there to be no common price and thus an N/A. It doesn't seem to me that very many stores don't stock the product at all. I reckon they have changed this to N/A manually in order to stop glitches, like, it seems, they did with the Coke Zero on the Saturday (before a regular update was due). I think Mr T do read this thread. I don't think the APG team does, but I think T does watch these threads very closely and is aware of what we post on here.0 -

I'm hoping it will arrive by the end of the week. My own fault entirely, I left it far too lateI'm also complicated by having done some employed work and some self employed work for the same company in the last tax year.......I haven't got anything near organised paperwork and I'm making it up as I go.
TS I have given up self employed work this year and will be informing them of that. if I'm still around next January I'm NOT giving myself this grief.
Elliemoo.....happy retirementI hope your next step on the ladder is more fulfilling. I've found as a rule, as you get older and more carefree it is. Something needs to change to make us value ourselves much earlier in life whilst we can truly make use of it. Onwards and upwards

Cheese and turkey mince look like they should continue to glitch today.:)
There's certainly no change in price on the Cathedral offer in M, so the APG should continue to pick it up, and I think the Turkey Mince is still 2 for £4 if it's comparing to the one I think it is in M. I have some turkey mince product of the right weight (the weight shown on the APG comp.) in M at 2 for £4 - so I still have the pricing on as of the latest!0 -

These are a bit more expensive and compare to W. at 2 for £5 so after apg should cost £2.42 for 2.:)
Are we able to buy other OEPs? I don't think M has this one, however my list might be missing something!:rotfl:
Now can anyone get a couple of OEPs to compare to £1.81 each M before it changes, I imagine, to £2 each at some point today?
On separate matters, I now have seen the Crucials Yoghurt & Mint product at £1 in M. However, it's taken me 47 stores before I've seen just one that has that:rotfl:. I now have a total of 3 errant SELs - one per store - on the Quorn Steak Strips but seen no stock anywhere. And I have the Dettol Sanitiser in only 3 stores (not the same ones) - I was stuck on one for ages and couldn't find it anywhere else - however I did see several units of the product and SEL in one store the other day and I've now found another store with several and a SEL. I've gone through several days of no trace from stores I've visited in between, before I've even got that, however. I still don't think it will work on the APG anymore - the number of stores having it seems to me so few that it seems much less likely that one of the price collection stores will be a store that has any indication of the product in M.
I would now have thought that the Almondy Chocolate Mousse & Almond Cake (380g) would be very likely to be in at least one of their stores and that it should compare on the APG to M's £1.83 - that's if the beggars (at A) had not gone OOS online:mad::p. So I think it might not even work at all now, as relying on it appearing on the APG in the first place. I am seeing in it more Ms - typical that Mr A seems may have conveniently gone OOS of the product at the crucial moment:(. The Cadbury Creations ice cream pots at £1 in M will, I think, be extremely dicey from this time. Not seeing many Ms with SELs anymore - and, when they do have, it's one and not the others - and a different one and not others - in different stores. Just depends where they visit I reckon.0 -

Get in early, before an M price update, and might have £1.81 M!:D See my list as to which versions I'm aware M has. (I won't delete them just yet:rotfl:.)
According to my list, which must be correct, M has these (don't rely on msm as last time I saw it did not have all of them showing for M but M does stock them):Savvybuyer wrote: »

So, usuals - target T, with other items same price at T and M, and, if M returns £1.81 on all OEPs you buy and betters T, you get that! (Need to check t.com to see which T has.) I do feel this needs to be done very early though - and won't work in N.I. that can't compare against M - as we are due to have the M prices change on us which looms on the horizon today. Don't mix with cheese, just in case it goes belly-up! (IMO.)
M due to go from £1.81 to £2.00. I hope it does not get £3.13:eek: which is the price showing on the SEL in one of my Ms! Offer is showing elsewhere in the store, but not on the crucial SEL. However, one of my stores had £1.81 still showing - if one of the APG stores is like that, then it's possible lowest price is £1.81* and continues to have that. I expect £2 though, sometime later today.
If that lot above works against M (I don't know what T stocks), then it may need no fillers! However, even if it initially works, I expect later comps., later in the day, will get M £2.
*According to their rules, if they follow them, they take the lowest price they find. (I've mentioned this above, but thought I'd repeat it as otherwise I'm assuming that people know all that I do when this is not the case.)0
