I don't think there's many in this group who are in any doubt about the noble stature of all animals, just to reaffirm it read this story:

He is changing in Singapore ( 2 hour layover ) I am also not so worried about his wife as she is cool about it. But it is the campervan thing I am worried about I know its silly and he is a grown up but us Mums are supposed to worry.
I panicked when DS2 told me he had hired an SUV in America and driven for hours across states. Here he only drives an Aygo that is under 1 litre and usually only locally so probably doesn't reach 30!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Unless you really hate it I don't think I would bother with a change of hair colour rhosynbach, it sounds lovely as it is. Perhaps invest in a good cut instead, sooner rather than later so you can get used to it, then just have it trimmed and blow dried nearer the day(s).0

What a day.
Seeing friend, fabulous.
Catheterising whilst out, went really well. :T
Trains - I think I'm jinxed!:rotfl:
Got to station this morning. All trains to Birmingham cancelled due to an overhead line being down. Bussed to Rugby, then put on Virgin train. However, I have to check I'm allowed on a Virgin train for free, as with my warrant card I get free travel on London Midland, but not Virgin. Nice train manager agrees I can travel. Manage to be only 25 minutes late.
Way home. Trains running late, but running. Get just past Long Buckby, which is station before mine. Train comes to a standstill. We sit there for 1 hour and 45 minutes, at one point we move but smells of burning so stop. We get "fixers" brought to the train. They fix the train enough so we can crawl to Northampton on it. Journey home which normally takes just over an hour takes three.
Next time I say I'm going on a train I suggest no-one else does, as I'm clearly unlucky!
Still a great day though, and was nice to get the whole worrying about using catheters whilst out and about out of the way. Even had to do it on the stationary train in the grotty toilet (not sure I could have managed if it was moving though!).0 -
She is amazing. Sometimes I get fed up and tired by all the soul destroying news I read but every now and then I meet or read about someone who is amazing and does amazing things, brilliant, absolutely brilliant.:T
