Good afternoon, love your reasoning underperky :D, we have snow but also a very bright day, minus 1 so don't imagine a thaw, FC hope you get a good result I agree with your sentiments about looking after your health, so many take it for granted, my family included, it really is precious. Ladyshopper you should try and get the hospital to send a list of required medication and prescription items to the gp, my consultant does it as a matter of routine, nothing worse than a penny pinching receptionist who think you are self prescribing :)

This is not the scene of Boots Peterborough restocking but actually ONE man single handedly clearing every single shelf of all 70% off sales stock. There is a few items left which he didn't manage to grab. He queued up, went in and immediately took all the stock and stacked it. He got friends to cover it all up with coats and bin liners to stop others taking any items and now they are putting it all through the tills. So people of Peterborough, there is nothing left in the Boots sale today.

Has anyone had trouble using the NCG coupons? The SS checkout happily took the Yorkshire tea ones and my APG's, but voided the NCG ones off. The SA's were most perplexed too, none of them yet know about the Eagle Eye coupon system they have installed.

My soup vouchers never go though. It is the vouchers for some reason the tills don't like them

I don't think it was the receptionist, they are actually pretty good at the surgery. Technically the request was from my hospital, I have all my catheter stuff delivered by an outside company. Specialist nurse at hospital made the request to them with the stuff I'd need, they raise the prescription and send it to Dr, then once received back they dispatch the items to me. Dr had refused to sign off the lubrication. :o

Had a long chat with nurse at my surgery, as was on telephone list for something else! I asked for gauze swabs and wanted the separate packs of them - again, sterile, as I tape them over my belly button. Dr had prescribed them but it was the wrong type as it just came in a straight pack of 100, no separate packets. I had been getting a box a week from the nurse when I was going each week when I had my permanent catheter in, so thought it might be better getting telephone appointment with prescribing nurse to get the right thing.

Had a long chat with her about it all, explained about the lubrication issue. She was lovely, went out of her way to help me, phoned the chemist to find out exactly what was on prescription and what wasn't, and how to order it. She phoned me back to say she had sorted it, they'd had to think outside the box a bit in regards to the lubricant as they are literally not allowed to order the one I was prescribed, but I think between the pair of them they came up with something, and she has put it on repeat, so can now get that from chemist rather than outside company. Same with gauze swabs. She apologised for all the hassle, even though really not her fault.

I do find it odd they're not allowed to prescribe it because you can allegedly buy it over the counter (even though the one I actually need you can't), yet they've been quite happy to prescribe thrush medication, which you definitely can buy over the counter. Weird. :o
