I made meatballs before Christmas with a mixture of beef and pork mince and they were amazing. Don't think I would use beef on its own again. So my vote is with the others who suggest mixing it in with beef. Though those lime burgers sound good too!

I got a recipe from my friends in Greece for burgers/meatballs using beef and pork :) I tried them out on my friends here last year and they loved them :D

    Morning Peeps,

Went to B in the end!
Not as good as previous years, must have been over 100 in the queue when I got there before 8!!

Beware that a lot of stock was full price on the same shelves as the 70% off, bet a lot of peeps got caught out with the small Superdry nail sets and Sanct candles, luckily I noticed before I left the store.

Happy shopping if you are going, be quick!

also on Shopotize I noticed 3 packs of Eat naturally bars and on mysupermarket these appear to be on offer for £1.50 in Sainsbobs- has anyone been in to double check and get these - Tuesday appears to be price change day in Sainsburys

the Apricot and almond ones are divine - def for adults only :D

ideally I want to hide these from my OH, far too good for sharing

brandston beans are also 50p in Sainsbobs so that is 2 Shopotize items.

I also noticed free packs of the fancy Maldon salt crisps on TCB so that's 3 items now for ssainsbobs or 3 for !!!!!!

annoyingly our Sainsbobs and Mr !!!!!! are in opposite directions so I can either go to one or the other but not both :(

Crisps. £2.29 in Tosco. £1.50 in Sainsbug.

just checking the accounts this morning

on the minus side - we had Cheshire monthly saver accounts before it merged with Nationwide and kept them going after the merger because the interest rate was still good. There is a maximum amount you can put in each month so I've just got a standing order that goes from the current to the other - its all online now, the old passbooks no longer needed.

so out of curiosity in December I did an experiment and I put extra into the Cheshire - usually the system has stops in place but the transfer seemed to go through fine.

Or at least it did at the time but we had letters and the amount was bounced back into the current account - oh well, cant blame a girl for trying :rotfl:

on the plus side - regarding the nationwide reward plus Amex cashback not going in. Before we went away I tried all methods to see if I could push this forward - via numerous messages to the twitter team and ringing visa and sending messages via the contact page but I was going round in circles and getting no where. In the end I wrote an email to the CEO of Nationwide (found on Google) telling him the entire sorry story and I also used survey speak - told them I did not feel valued as a customer, that advisors were not listening to me and trying to understand my problem and find a satisfactory solution etc .
I got a letter in the post which initially looked just like junk mail but I had a waiver to sign for compensation and send off and today £50 went into the account :j
the £100 Amazon, well I spent that anyway so this £50 is technically free money.
I've got a separate account whereby the little bits of interest from the various monthly savers goes into, started half way through last year and with this £50 as well there is now £220 in this account so this will go towards the next weekend away/midweek break :D
