Today is marmalade making day!! Anyone else making it this year?
    Have a good one y'all.x

Made lemon marmalade at the weekend. Was once staying with someone who ran a bar and her marmalade was out of this world. Turned out that she kept all the left over bits of lemon etc from the finished drinks and made marmalade with them. Ever since then I have had a bag for 'dead lemons' and spare pips (for the pectin) in the freezer. Needed freezer space so bought a pac of value lemons from T to add to it and made marmalade -- very mse!

I love making it as it feels like magic, but tend to do it when the fruit is reduced.

I was in the dog house this morning though.

as I was doing the post Christmas clear up and I found eldest childs Christmas card still on the mantle piece in its envelope - I'd forgotten to give it to her over Christmas

It was one I had specially chosen with a water colour picture of the Thames and Tower Bridge on the front - she has been working in London now for 2 years close to there and for 6 months she was in hotels over looking the bridge.

so I sent an apology message with a photo and said I would keep the card now for next year :D

I got a terse message back saying neither set of parents had sent engagement cards

OMG I did not realise we were supposed to, why did no one tell me this - this is our first time of doing this - having a daughter get engaged and we really have no idea what the rules and regulations are and what we are supposed to be doing and not doing and trying not to put our size 9 hobnails in and get it all wrong ...

so hopefully winning the wedding planner for them will make amends - or will she think its cheap and nasty ...deep sigh

Getting engaged can be scary and a wedding very stressful. At least it was both sets of parents not buying a card! Can you all take them out for a celebration meal perhaps?

Yes, sorry. Just the Barilla pasta. Though the last two Ts I tried were very voucher happy so you could try sneaking a couple of extra vouchers into your shop...

thanks for this. I did my £1 Barilla vouchers on the very last day on the night before we set off and I have them all lined up in the email box but unopened - I have no idea now if they will be in date ???

also did a couple of covent garden mocs today which were supposed to come to my email address but no sign of them yet - do they arrive overnight or have I missed the boat on these as well?

You may well find that the Barilla vouchers won't print now. If they don't, you could always try emailing them and telling them that you were away...

Don't know about the CG mocs. Try the spam folder?

:doh:The list would not be so long if I did not include several essays within it as I do now! But I think they are essential information about some of the products and their chances, or otherwise, of working on the APG at least whilst these items are "new" to me and therefore to my list (and so new for you on here).

Have I now missed anything folks? Probably every item that is in your M store:rotfl:.

There you go - "I think I've captured everything good value in M" I was saying on some weeks, months ago, before. Yes - but only those that are in my 3 useless stores:rotfl:. (Equally as "useless" as anyone else's three other stores:laugh:.)

Anyway, that done, with the popcorn - I'm sure something else will turn up now with me having missed that one up to just now - I'm now off and soon to be going to my hopeless stores:rotfl:.

    See you later!:D
