I'm sorry - I thought the M list was - well I didn't think it was complete at all, clearly it isn't that and is woefully inadequate as I still haven't got what M sells despite visiting 35 stores(:rotfl:) - but I thought it was as complete as I could get from the stores I've visited - but it turns out I've still missed something!:rotfl:

I'm just copying this here for now, as that huge list is now overflowing on one of its posts again (exceeding character limit)! In fact, I'll leave this entry here as well, as I think it does need noting! So much for even the RTC Grim Green Popcorn 150g at 50p (or even at the 25p RTC shelf price on that at the M store in Swadlincote - even that now seems too expensive:eek: compared to this one below!).

Butterkist Toffee Popcorn (325g)50p SEL says 225g but actual product, which scans at 50p:D, is 325g:j. So much for M own brand 200g:( at 88p:eek::eek::eek: and 2 for £1.50:eek::eek: - what a comparative rip-off that seems for non-branded popcorn. Obviously, way cheaper brand is the way to go! And so much even for Butterkist Toffee Popcorn (200g) at double the price of this 325g version in A and, apparently, in M as well - £1 price for that taken from msm:rotfl: - I would not have a clue - I didn't even bother to look at 200g Butterkist in M:rotfl::rotfl::D:j (or at any expensive prices of £1:rotfl:). Sadly, it seems to me, you won't find this excellent value 325g Butterkist (until I find one even bigger cheaper elsewhere:laugh:) in every M store - the poorer value versions are much more readily available it seems to me - I found the 325g one, which is a box with a handle, in one M out of 35. It had a proper SEL though, albeit that gave a lower weight than the product really is, suggesting that it is not store-specific. Best of luck - you may find it regularly in your own M for all I know!

Savvy - our store is that one. It's always been on our shelf and we've been buying it for many months - we don't know why you never put it onto your list and why you clearly weren't looking properly!

I'm sorry:o:o - it was not in any of my 3 regular stores that I usually use for the M list - or even, it seems, in any of the 31 other stores that I've now used for my check. Poor excuse I know - it's absolute blatant obvious on your store's shelf (even if the SEL is incorrect).

Maybe some of the items that have "always" been on my list are available in 1 store out of 35 and therefore aren't "readily available" but only seem that way to me because they are in one of the 3 small sample stores that I have used from the outset and therefore seemed to be in a third of stores?

(The thing is, again, that if I'd lived elsewhere and therefore if I used the store in which I found the 325g popcorn as one of my regular 3, it would, I assure you, have been on the list from the outset and I'd have assumed it was regularly available in M, like some of the products that I find it only 1 store out of my actual 3. Indeed, it would have been regularly available in M for me. Then it would be on the list and, if the APG used a sample that included that store, it (apart from the fact that A does not stock any equivalent online so it can't appear on the APG at all:() would compare if they picked it up in this store; otherwise if they used a sample that didn't include a store with in it they would, it seems, to me not pick it up at all (how could they?) but might instead pick up other products that are regularly available in those, such as a sample that might always have been on my list, in the unlikely event of them using my regular stores, or some other range of products in whatever stores that do sample.

Possibly all Ms have products, which are not by any stretch of the imagination purely local or regional products, that are only available in about 10% of Ms rather than all of them. Indeed, there possibly aren't any products that are available in absolutely every M.

Certainly every store I go to gives me "new" (for me) items, that are items that haven't been seen by me in any M store prior to me seeing that one - just think about the well over 20 items that I got from the last store (the 35th one) that I visited on Monday night! These "new" items will then, some of them, turn out, from my experience so far, to be available in further M stores I may visit - and they are unlikely to be the next one in the same locality but will be some store miles away from the one in which I now first found the item! They are therefore available elsewhere, albeit not in any of the other stores I've visited up to this point, but sometimes will turn out to be in several later on. I have one product, newly discovered to me, that I only found on Sunday but which has now turned up in three separate stores. So, that is nearly 10% of the sample now and, if I'd used those three as my original three (albeit that they are miles apart from one another so could never have covered them in any one price collection day), then they would have been in all of "my" stores. Three out of 35 equates to over 40 stores across the country - and, for all know, the number in my sample might be under-representative so that they could be even more - if only I'd visited a different set of 35 stores. 40 might not seem a lot - but there are tens of fairly big cities in the country, along with perhaps a few towns in size of population (the 40 most populous areas in GB) and it could be in every one of them. That said, these products are not always in city stores - additional ones are also in 'smaller' or town stores and they aren't available in mine.

You could - apart from the fact that the products aren't even in my city store - have a product in every city M in every one of the 20 largest cities in the Great Britain plus in the same number of other Ms nationwide. To exclude a product that is in every major city M would be bizarre! This is however a similar situation* with every product I've 'missed' for months - and may even be the same with some (or even many?) of the products that I have always picked up but also because they are in one of my three usual stores - or picked them up for several months because they are in one of the 6 that I sometimes alternate between.)

*(ignoring the fact the products clearly aren't in every city M as none of them are available in my city M)

also on Shopotize I noticed 3 packs of Eat naturally bars and on mysupermarket these appear to be on offer for £1.50 in Sainsbobs- has anyone been in to double check and get these - Tuesday appears to be price change day in Sainsburys

the Apricot and almond ones are divine - def for adults only :D

ideally I want to hide these from my OH, far too good for sharing

brandston beans are also 50p in Sainsbobs so that is 2 Shopotize items.

I also noticed free packs of the fancy Maldon salt crisps on TCB so that's 3 items now for ssainsbobs or 3 for !!!!!!

annoyingly our Sainsbobs and Mr !!!!!! are in opposite directions so I can either go to one or the other but not both :(

    Morning tweets
Glad your mum has her appointment, fingers crossed thus is not cancelled xx

Hope its third time lucky :)
Tweets glad your mum has another appointment. Could they maybe ring the day before or on the morning before they set off to make sure she is going to be seen? I know it won't help your brother with his day off but might save them the journey.

I have already suggested mum rings on the day to check. If I was taking her I would definitely have rung and checked.

Dentist today 2pm check up :( Don't think I need any treatment :D

My final question to ponder before I go and do something useful

on our local Freecycle this morning someone has asked for a 20 foot waterproof shipping container - they say they can transport it and have a site

    WANTED: shipping container wanted
Disused or unwanted 20 foot shipping container wanted not bothered what
it looks like as long as its watertight can arrange transport and move
    thanks for reading

    why????

why would anyone need a 20 foot waterproof container? why would anyone have a spare 20 foot container hanging around going spare and doing nothing?
How much do they even cost to buy new or second hand and how much do they cost to transport?

And precisely what is a 20 foot waterproof container? A massive plastic bag would qualify, and do they want 20 foot long and one inch wide?

What are we all doing with our turkey mince? I know it is extremely healthy but can be quite tasteless:o

Anyone have any really good recipes?

I made meatballs before Christmas with a mixture of beef and pork mince and they were amazing. Don't think I would use beef on its own again. So my vote is with the others who suggest mixing it in with beef. Though those lime burgers sound good too!
