Best "Speedy" transfer from Lanzarote Airport to Playa Blanca

we are a couple and in the past we used the coach transfer from Lanzarote Airport to Playa Blanca. Last time there was an inordinate number of drops offs and it took an age. We are therefore looking for a speedy mini bus return transfer with a minimal number of drops off at a reasonable cost. I believe there are some for under 30 Euros for the 2 of us. Any suggestions please.

  • holidaytaxis.com are doing a good deal at the moment. A speedy transfer with a maximum of 4 drop offs for 2 people return costs approximately £22.50

Try ResortHoppa too, I think they now go by just Hoppa though. You can usually either get a discount code, or get cashback via Quidco / Topcashback. We've used them a few times and never had a problem.

TBH car hire is so cheap, I'd do that

We had a VW Polo from Autoreisen just before Christmas - £68 for 10 days.
We booked their smallest car but they never have them so you end up with something a little larger.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

We previously used lastminutetransfer.com which were very good. They do now give a discount and charge 35 euros for 2 people for a return transfer to Playa blanca. The best deal going at the moment is holidaytaxis.com. we used last time purely on cost grounds and they were reliable.
  • Lastminute-transfers.com will do a shuttle for €35 return for the 2, but they have a reduced number of stops. They also do a private transfer for €80 return.

Just be careful with companies like Holiday Taxis, Sun Transfers, Viva Transfers, ResortHoppa etc. They're only a booking company, and the quality of the transfer depends on which company they book your transfers with.

We always hire a car from the airport, so we've got it to go out and about as and when we want.

another plug here for hiring a small car from AutoReisen, we always use them in the Canaries.

  • last minute transfers are excellent but also one of the more expensive. Last time we booked with holiday taxis which guaranteed no more than 4 drop offs. In fact there were only two and it only cost 22 euros compared with last minute transfer at 35 euros. both were for two of us travelling. You could try E Mailing last minute transfers to see if they will price match. If you do not try you won't know . We are in a competitive world now.
  • I tried E Mailing lastminute transfers as suggested about a price match and they did even bother to reply even to say "No". If that is the kind of service they offer it does not bode well and I shall not be using them. I will book with either holiday taxis or resort hoppas.

I've never had a problem getting a reply back from Lastminute. Last time I had an answer the same day, but always within 48 hours. I doubt they'd price match anyway. They offer good prices to start with. They're a local company and rely on their reputation so do deliver a good service, and are always busy with transfers and excursions.

Do remember though, that neither Holiday Taxis or Hoppa provide the transfers. They're only a middleman, so you've no idea who the operator is when you book.

Don't you fancy hiring a car?

I also E mailed lastminute transfer about a price match and did not receive a response. I would have hope as a courtesy practice for good customer service they (as with any company) would have replied even just to say they did not price match. It is a matter of good manners. It has put me off booking with them.
