i understand what your saying but if an item was sent RD, the orange label should have been stamped by the post office recieving the parcel or letter.

the orange labels are never(or shouldnt be) stamped in anyway.depending on how the item is sent depends on whether its franked.
eg business reply items dont need franked as the licence holder is charged at the delivery point office for each item
if an item is sent through a post box its is never in a post office so would be franked at the sorting office though this isnt 100% especially on non machine items.

    i think you misunderstand me
the orange part which i had stamped is the counterpart that is given to the sender once the item has been mailed

when you have this type of issues contact the delivery office managers directly.note not the person who 1st answers the phone but ask to speak to a manager and get his name.
if you have a constant problem then its down to them to address(no pun intended) this

I have only ever used RD for those things that I wish to know that they have recieved it, officially. So things like documents etc that I can reprocuce easily. For this the 70p price is good value. For anything urgent, important and/or valuable I use SD and starting at 4.30 have been pleased with too.

The main problems (as I see it) with courier companies is that they dont cover the whole country. Which most you probably dont have a problem with but, if you live rurally can extort prices heavily. Whilst RM is accross the board (even thier parcel 48 is now!!!)
