If you tell the new bank there isn't a debit card on the account, and the old bank contradict this by saying there is, then the switch will fail.
Because of this...
I gave up trying to switch before the 18th as I thought I couldn't get the debit card no. for the new a/c in time (the whole point of the thread)You should wait until you have received your debit card as you need that for the switch application to go smoothly
