  • I had sole accounts in mind when I made that post.If you do it'll say so in the incentive T&Cs. Does it?

    All I can see is:

"A minimum of two existing Direct Debits on the old account must be transferred as part of the switch"

    There's your answer then. :)

Now compare those T&Cs with those of YB/CB, which say...

Pay in at least £1000 in the 31 days after your switch completes and another £1000 in the 31 days after this and keep 2 Direct Debits for this period.

And do you have to keep the direct debits coming out after switching the account?
Just to add...the DDs don't have to pay out at all, merely be set up so they could pay out if called, eg an annual payment DD (for car breakdown cover) would do the trick.

Excellent, was just looking for clarification.

    Thanks

I wasnt sure if you were allowed to refer a joint account if you are one of the account holders as it would really be referring yourself?

Clur84, did you ever find out a definitive answer to this? I am in the exact same position as you. Thanks.
