PLEASE DO NOT GO TO E4B, they initially give a very low rate, then after the first 12 months increase it greatly.....
they also have the hardest contract to get out of. I am a SME and we pay / did pay £1,200.00 per month. I was over a £1,400.00 in credit at the end of the 12 month contract, I had a broker look around for a good deal. Scottish Power came up best ... I signed up and gave notice to E4B (in plenty of time). I received a letter from E4B OBJECTING to me changing supplier.
No reason given (which by thier licence they should do). Thier contract has a 7 day window that you have to hit to get out, they make it impossible for another supplier to take over supply by saying they did not 'hit' the window.
I cancelled my DD and they have BULLIED, THREATENED, and have now isssued a disconnection notice. I am in litigation. E4B is only a small company Energy watch cannot help non-domestic customers, and E4b are not part of the scheme that the electricty ombudsman can deal with. I am learning a lot and will keep this site up to date. Just do not give them any custom. If you weigh more than the space you take, You will sink !.0 -
Dear Waterwalker,
I also run a small business, and sadly signed up for E4B and am now in the 2 year hugely expensive contract. What happened with your litigation? This is probably the route I will go down.
Thanks for your post, by the way,

Hello Kate,
If you can read all the thread "BEWARE E4B" you will learn a lot.
A lot of people just do not believe how BAD E4B as a supplier can be, they are lulled by cheap prices for the first year, then screwed for the next two years.
I canncelled my DD DECEMBER 2007 being in credit for just over a months worth of usage. I have been Threatened, bullied, had bad phone calls, sent letters of disconnection, than a letter of pre-disconnection vist in March 2008 (no-one came) I have written them letters with offers of resovlement, but they do not want to know. I have not paid them a penny since december 2007 I AM STILL HERE !!
If they could have made it stick in court I think they would have done so by now. They cannot win as they breached their own T&C's and I have the PROOF, and they know I will post on this site everything that happens.
Their turnover increased to £44 million this last year from £1.8 million the previous year. That is because they trapped a lot of businesses to the two year contract and the vast majority are quite small and have been intimidated by their tactics, THEY ARE SYSTEMATICALLY USING THREATS and dubious T&C's to keep customers on longer contracts.
I am trying to push the CPS to look into this as INTIMIDATION as it is illegal.
I cannot tell you what to do ! I can tell you what I did.
Where abouts are you with the end of contract date ?If you weigh more than the space you take, You will sink !.0
