Ah, combining reductions and multi buy offers... My best was at Sainsbury's where for every 2 kiwi fruit I put in my basket, I got 5p taken off my bill! Literally being paid to take their fruit away, so I obliged and used my basket of kiwis to subsidise the rest of my shopping0

12 or so years ago when I worked at TESCO, you could end up with a negative figure on the till due to this. Original item BOGOF for 1.50, both reduced to 15p. Till reduces by full price 1.50, till output negative 1.35.0 -
Supermarket meal deals are a law unto themselves. One memorable occasion in Tesco; I wanted a sandwich and a bottle of water which together came to more than the price of a meal deal which included some crisps/snack thing as well. I ended up just dropping unwanted crisps in their bin as I went out.
And they wonder why the UK has an obesity crisis!0
