Most deals say you can't combine two offers
  • Poor thread.

Ah, combining reductions and multi buy offers... My best was at Sainsbury's where for every 2 kiwi fruit I put in my basket, I got 5p taken off my bill! Literally being paid to take their fruit away, so I obliged and used my basket of kiwis to subsidise the rest of my shopping :)
  • Simple, i avoid Tesco

Years ago yellow stickered items still attracted multibuy discounts, alas this stopped after a while.

12 or so years ago when I worked at TESCO, you could end up with a negative figure on the till due to this. Original item BOGOF for 1.50, both reduced to 15p. Till reduces by full price 1.50, till output negative 1.35.

Supermarket meal deals are a law unto themselves. One memorable occasion in Tesco; I wanted a sandwich and a bottle of water which together came to more than the price of a meal deal which included some crisps/snack thing as well. I ended up just dropping unwanted crisps in their bin as I went out.

And they wonder why the UK has an obesity crisis!
