Vodafone Direct debit problems

i have 2 monthly contracts with Vodafone, one is 3 month old, the other 1. DD on both of them has been set up at my Natwest account, but direct debits always fails - Vodafone tells its bank's problem, bank says they are fine. so I have to call voda, been on hold for 20-40 min, pay by card and get £4 extra in late payment charges per account.
This seems to be a known problem, on vodafone forum ( https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly-account-specific/Direct-debit-problems/td-p/2430256 ) there are 9 pages of complains. Vodafone customer service over the phone are useless. So I hope that Vodafone representative on MSE forum will help me to solve this issue.
