Something just seems very inefficient, maybe multiple things, maybe record keeping is an easy one to target, food can be done cheaply, etcMatthewAinsworth wrote: »Robotic drug dipensors could help...MatthewAinsworth wrote: »I believe they are profitable businesses to own...
You do make some stupid comments. Please don't ever look to work in a caring capacity!0 -
What's stupid about it? Why would new care homes keep springing up if they were unprofitable? Robotic drug dispensing isnt unreasonable, robotic table + robotic arm, and can fill in records automatically, would save lots in nursesThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I have heard that some Employers are going to reduce the number of hours their employees work when the new minimum comes in in April 2016
Anybody know anymore on the subject
Already lived through it, autumn 2015 started a 40 hour job to find it was 30 - as no rights it was very easy to do. Admit it was a new business for argument sake. People who remain in long term employment *may* be better off. As not to sure about this even.
I know someone who threatens to sell up if it becomes to muchhowever the current over worked stature and rumour of sell off is well received as it allows someone to save I suppose? It doesn't make the workplace that nice anymore really and creates a scared culture, accept any treatment etc? No happy medium definetely comes to mind.
Hope for rumours eh?0 -

How do you suggest a robot supports a resident with dementia, or with difficulty swallowing? How do you ensure said patients are given the right drugs?
(Hint: Actually think before you respond)

Robots can drive and read pedestrians so it wouldn't be far fetched to think one could watch a swallow. Patients could just have a chip in their tags...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Ohreally - well that's what finances imply, low earners only get cared for because of the state, if income decided what we 'deserved' then they wouldn't have earnt their careThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Employers wouldn't be able to reduce the hours of just the over 25s. Then it would be age discrimination.0

matthew have you ever set foot in a care enviroment ?just because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you0

Would doing so lead me to different conclusions? I'm open to being told where I'm wrong and what can't be done, but I'll try to find ways that robotics could work (and remember they can drive, so times are changing, they're capable of more than we think)
And I'm really saying that either care homes charge too much or min wage is too low if people can't pay it without state help. Pure Tory philosophy would tell you that what you can't pay for alone you haven't earned - really low paid workers are getting their pay in other ways via the state. So if you did have no state support and brutal Tory philosophy you'd have to pay a higher wage to compensate the loss of benefit in kindThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
