Children's entertainer - Leeds

228 Posts

I am looking for a children's party entertainer in Leeds and wondered if anyone had any recommendations?
Magician, Science party, Super Heroes etc. It's for a 6 year old so I am sure he'd be happy with most things, but we'd prefer someone recommended and that doesn't cost too many arms and legs!
Thanks!

Otherwise, do you have any local pottery firms? Again, my boys have been to sessions run by https://www.thepottersbarn.co.uk and had a great time. They are based in Cheshire, but do travel (we're about thirty miles away) but I think this costs extra. I believe that they are expensive though.
Another idea is a reptile handler. We've used a local chap, but are too far away from you. Schools sometimes have reptile handlers in, so maybe your son's school can recommend someone. Our local chap has been to schools, Brownies, disability groups, youth groups as well as parties.
They brought a snake, meerkat, monitor lizard, skunk, owl and a prairie dog and they do a talk, which they pitch at the right level for the age of kids, then the kids get to handle them all. They won't guarantee any particular animals, because it depends what mood the animals are in that day, and they bring animals suitable for the age of kids. The snake they brought to my daughters party was considerably smaller than the one they brought to my Guide meeting
They have a website if you google them, and they are very helpful. Also they are a charity, so the party fee is going to help their cause.
All the kids loved the party, and the parents did too, because it was something different.
We have a quote from Science Boffins and Sublime Science and they both sound great but are very expensive - around £250-300 for 1.5-2 hrs. We are looking at doing a joint party so this could be OK but if not it's definitely out. Also they have 30 kids max but we may have nearly 40!!!
I think my boys would find pottery a bit too low key for them and I like the idea of animal ones but think with that many kids it would be too much for the animals so I am thinking magician/ disco/ science is the best way to go.
Thanks again!
We had Wacky Woody for our little girls 5th Birthday in October and the kids (and parents) loved him, have kept getting compliments since that its the best party they've been to for a while.
He charged £155 for a 2 hour hassle free party, all we had to provide was a venue and food. He kept the kids thoroughly entranced for the whole show. Know he covers the north west and his site mentions Huddersfield and parts of Yorkshire so worth getting in touch with him.
