  • And it was going so well......
Just realised I need two new tyres. Dammit!!
This will be the (second) year:beer: Target £20K:eek:
  • Despite tyre necessity, I'm still pleased with my endeavours today. Mr n was off and we only spent £12.60 - shin guards for son and drinks for cinema.

I think this must be a first. We usually go for lunch or shopping or - his favourite- coffee and cake. So well done to us and thank you to Mr N.

  • Today has been a bit of a revelation. We have been watching what we are spending and taking note of it. However, despite the attention, we have still overspent. It seems that just everyday living is pretty expensive!! Fuel, car costs, food - they all mount up quickly. Think I'll need to earn more. Spending less and saving just won't cut it to become debt free. Good lesson.
Been a tense with Mr N regarding it all though. Hope he stays on board with the plan.

  • Hey lovely,
    Thought I'd pop across ☺
Well done on what you've achieved so far!!!!! Amazing!!! and yes I agree everyday spending is definitely an expensive pastime!!
My No spends week was instantly scuppered by three light bulbs blowing over the last two days and realising I only had one energy saving (takes around a fortnight to provide any kind of light ☺) left !!
When did light bulbs get so expensive!!
I too need to earn more but working more hours just isn't an option for me so I best get looking on the boards to boost my income with something (as well as Eb@y)
    You'll get there,
    Lou xx

  • Morning all,

I'm still feeling positive today. Have managed to keep £10 in purse following the weekend. So still haven't touched this weeks cash. I have a few meals in the fridge already. Haggis tonight (veggie haggis for me) for Burns night. Children will defo moan but.... Hey ho. Plus another 3 evening meals. Will only need milk I think.
Then husband and I are off to Krak!w for a few days and children off to mother in law's. So looking good financially since all our spending money has already been put aside.
I wonder if I can make £10 last the week......

  • It does. Thanks for the support. I'm impatient...... As a general rule for about 10 mins then I lose enthusiasm so I'm hoping that the public accountability, a bit of realism, and, of course, the support from others might keep me going for once!
