New Smart TV - how does this interact with Virgin V+ cable set top box

My Samsung TV has 4 Hdmi which are used by my Apple TV4, FireTV, DVD player and Freesat PVR. I decided to get a pair of Ruark speakers rather than get a soundbar and they are connected via the headphone socket.
When I was picking my TV I went for the Samsung over similar spec/ price offerings from Sony and Panosonic because it had more Hdmi inputs.
I suppose the adopters must work ok though but have no experience of them.0 -
You'll have to test your Wi-Fi to see if it sufficient to drive the streams from the Catch Up services. Failing this, you can use Homeplugs to connect to the internet via the electrical main of your house.littlerock wrote: »
Leaving aside how many spare ports I have on the Virgin router, (home office with several pcs) it is upstairs. But from what I can make out, Virgin will not allow you to have two routers on one connection. How do people manage with smart tv in one room and home office somewhere else in the house?
What broadband speed do you get from Virgin?0 -

Continuing my smart TV saga, I currently have non smart TV connected to a V+ box downstairs and a home network cabled into a Virgin superhub router upstairs. I now want to upgrade to a smart TV while keeping the v+ box. After a lot of advice I have worked out that I need to move the Virgin router downstairs to connect to the smart TV for internet access on it . And connect smart TV to v+ box as well. I then will need to install a powerline or Devolo or similar repeater (utilising electrical circuit) to connect the Virgin router downstairs to a second "slave" router upstairs (eg Belkin) and cable the PCs upstairs into that. So far so good.
Now OH has said he wouldn't mind a second smart TV in the bedroom. eeeegh. How do I do that? I have spoken to Virgin who say there is a maximum of one router per household .0 -
For various reasons I recently asked VM if I could install a second vm superhub router in my house. Happy to pay. The answer was categorical no as there is a limit of one per household. When I queried why, was told there is no demand for more. Any comments ?0
