So last night I made a lovely roast dinner and strawberry pavlova, I then got up from the table and said I wasn't tidying up as I had made tea, so the kids went off and washed up together, there was a little bickering about what music to listen to but I ignored them and they sorted it out, we than sat and watched a film together and everything is feeling much calmer today.
So a new day, Dh made brekkie poached eggs on toast and we went and walked the dogs before he went to work, I left the children cleaning their rooms which they have finished and are looking much better, especially DS as I got him to clean out his walk in wardrobe, so much carp the bin is now full and most of it was broken toys . I did rescue 3 items to £bay, DS asked if he was getting the money but I told him it was going to the holiday pot and he was happy with that, the kids really do want to go to their dream holiday before they get too old.
So items have been listed, I have some paperwork to get on with that I get paid in meat (think I have mentioned it earlier in diary), need to tidy downstairs, easy tea tonight of chicken chips and salad. Could do with baking as well but not sure I can fit it in today.0 -
£16 made on £bay and chucked at the hols pot, would have been slightly more but I bought some discount vouchers for a theme park we are taking kids next week which will save me £30 on gate price.0

Morning diary.
Yesterday was a house day, pottered around and did some bits of housework, finished paperwork which I need to return and should receive £60 of meat in payment. Managed a few loads of washing as sun came out and i got it hung out to dry.
Made £8 on £bay which has been thrown at hols pot.
Todays plans are cinema this afternoon via £ shop for snacks and Ds has sports club this evening, DH is off all week so I will get him busy with some jobs.
I need to pay some money off debt so will do that later and I also need to do an online grocery shop.
Took some prawns out of freezer for tea tonight but haven't decided whether to have curry or just a salad with them.
DH needs to ring dentist as he has managed to break a tooth, goodness knows what that will cost, looks as though I'm not going to get any pennies off him this month for hols pot.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
All this talk of pain in the butt kids has brought the memories flooding back. DD is 29 going on 13 and still living at home - her room is still a tip and she can still be a stroppy so and so at times. I would like to say things improve with time but in my case maybe not!
Glad you took some time out for yourself.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Morning.
DH is up and out of the house he managed to get a dentist appointment for 9am today, so I'm waiting to see what the damage will be money wise, I did say to him I would grab a pair of pliers and pull the rest of it out, surprisingly he didn't go for that idea.
I have done a Mr M shop to come for tomorrow morning, I have also meal planned this morning, looked at finances and worked out what else kids need uniform wise, DD doesn't need much as being a girl tends to look after her things, also she is not growing as quick now so skirts and most of her PE kit still fit, school shoes are also fine, she does need a new pair of school shorts and a school bag, she may need a swimsuit but I'm hanging off buying that until she goes back as PE groups rotate and she may not be swimming until after Christmas so no point in buying until she needs it (has to be a school one not the everyday primark one she already has:mad:).
DS needs new shoes, blazer, trousers, bag I bought yesterday a N1ke one in the sale at £17, he also needs new rugby kit as the school have changed the design:mad:, can't get away with old kit as he is in the school team so has to have new one for matches, I have told him the new kit is only for matches and he wears his old kit for training which thankfully they are allowed to do.
Sent £4 over to hols pot this morning, need to pay some money off debt today. Couple of items on ebay ending today but nothing has bids:(.
We were going to go to beach today, but weather is pants and with DH being at dentist not going now and going to leave it until the weekend, DS has sports club again tonight and DD has decided that she wants to join, going to be another £3 a week but i'm happy she wants to go as she used to love sport but then her confidence got knocked and she pulled away from team games etc, anyway she decided to go along with her brother last week and loved it so is going again this week:).0 -
Morning Pennywise,
Uniform is such an expense isn't it, especially when everything has to be logo'd from the school!
You're doing so well with your holiday pot xxMummytogirls x0 -
Afternoon all.
Decided to go to theme park yesterday as the weather was nice, spent an absolute fortune, cost well over £100 after park tickets, fuel etc, took packed lunch but n0t enough drinks, so spent £20 on drinks and ice creams. anyway we had a wonderful fun filled day out and that's the expensive one done, just be low cost trips for the rest of the holidays.
Mr M shop came first thing yesterday before going out, so cupboards are hopefully stocked for another week, £65 spent and I managed to forget washing up liquid so will need to buy in the next few days.
DD has gone off to a friends for a sleepover, Ds is at a friends tomorrow for a birthday and sleeping over, DD has a friend coming over tomorrow so at least they are keeping busy.
DH had his dentist appointment, dentist was able to fill it instead of crowning it, so cost £53 not as bad as we were expecting.
£1.50 paid into hols pot from a small £bay sale, surveys are really poor at the minute and I seemed to either not e getting any or the ones I am getting i'm being screened out
, £bay sales are not happening either.
Postie brought me a voucher for a free pot of yoghurt, will pick it up next time I'm in mr S.
Spag bol for tea tonight with cheesy garlic bread, probably just have fruit for pud.
Sorry really boring post.0
