Winge alert.
I'm so fedup/p1**ed off with my DD/DH.
My 2 broke up from school a few days before me and basically whilst they were off did nothing but lie in bed and meet friends and do all the selfish stuff that teenagers do, DS did do the washing and hung it out and tidied around but DD did nothing even though I left a note, DH who was either on half day at work or at home at lunch did nothing to encourage them. So I finished work Friday, had to pack for everyone and get ready to go visit family (DH idea). I told the kids that my first week off was going to be a quiet one and that I wanted to get on top of house stuff and wasn't having a house full of teenagers, that it wasn't a youth centre and as I work with difficult kids I needed a week to wind down.
Last night DH and me were having a quiet night watching a nice film, kids were in their rooms, everything was nice and chilled, 10pm DD walks into room and told me her friend was coming tomorrow as she had fallen out with her mum, I said no we discussed this, I have things to do she can come next week. So DD then kicks off in only the way teenage girls can, DH took her side, I then had a huge row with DH.
I so sick of being treated like a mug and the minute I say no i'm the b1tch, yet Dh goes out twice a week to sports club and nothing must interfere with that, why is it ok for him to say no i'm doing my thing but i'm not, It also would have meant a 12 round trip to pick up DD friend and then drop her off as we live in a rural place and her mum doesn't drive.
DH/DD are now not speaking to me and to be honest I feel like taking the hols pot and booking myself a week away and leaving them a note saying do whatever you want for a week I've gone somewhere hot and sunny.
Sorry for the moan.0 -
Oh Pennywise, I really feel for you and I actually don't blame you for thinking about booking yourself a holiday!! Id probably think the same and then end up feeling guilty.. how do they do this to us?!
Stick to your guns, I certainly would be driving 12 miles to pick someone elses child up! xxMummytogirls x0 -

Kids are both still in bed and will stir when they want lunch, Dh will be home at 11.30 for early lunch.
I've sorted all the animals and I'm now off out for the day, might go to the museum have a wander round, visit library! Have a quiet cup of tea and slice of cake whist reading a book.
How long before they realise I'm not here (evil laugh).
Have a good day all.x.0 -

Well I was only missed because the kids wanted to go swimming and I wasn't here to drop them at the pool. besides that all I got was did we get anything when I dropped my bags on the dining table, said no and they wandered off.
No text or anything off DH, so I presume he hadn't noticed or just doesn't give a ****.
Had a lovely time wandering round town, bought some bargain curtains reduced from £30 down to £5.49 and are the perfect colour, so well chuffed with those.
Also had a £10 gift voucher for boots so treated myself to 2 bottles of s0ap and gl0ry shower gel and got a free s&g travel set, just had to add £3, so a lovely treat for myself. Went to library and wiled away some time and then went to a coffee shop and sat and drank a lovely latte whilst reading my book in peace.
I had some left over egg whites in the fridge so quickly made up some meringue which is now in the oven, will be lovely with strawberries and cream and I might not share.

Also forget that I have chucked £100 at hols pot.0

My family are also in don't give an fcuk mood at the moment.
DS cannot be blamed as he is 19 and stays at my mums from Sun night until Thurs night as he has a summer job and then from Fri - Sun he either has his girlfriend here or he goes to her's.
DD is 13 going on 23 and is being a nightmare. She refused to join the rota for washing up as it smells so she was given the job of feeding the pigs each night which soon fizzled out so she did nothing. She is now back on the rota but as July has been such a busy month for me no one has followed any rota but we will be starting afresh from Monday!!
Her room is a tip, she has a bath every night and leaves the wet towel on her bedroom floor which the cats then sleep on so each towel is used once and then has to be washed.
This morning I asked if she wanted to fill up the paddling pools for the dogs (which she also goes in) and she told me not to tell her what to do!!!
From what I can gather she is not getting up in the mornings until at least 10am and then she is on her phone and a tablet and also watching TV all at the same time interspersed with creating things in the kitchen and then leaving the mess for me to clear up.
She does this all day until bedtime at about 10-10.30am.
DH is just being his usual self although his depression is pretty bad so he is not motivated in the slightest - I am just grateful he is still managing to work. This muggy weather has affected his hemicrania so he has a bad head as well.
So that leaves me to work full time and try to do all the housework while also cooking tea and anything else. (luckily DH is still sharing the job of dealing with the animals and/or walking the dogs)
Something has to crack and it won't be me - I sometimes think I could live in a little cottage on my own and they can visit once a month and let them all live in a hovel together!!
I hope you can get this sorted penny, would a rota work for the kids?
(I am thinking of switching off the internet when I go to work if DD has not done her rota work)0 -
