  • He drives me mad, he is worse than the kids. He still hasn't found it and has had to go to sports club with the kids, but taken my bank card because his car needs fuel:mad:. I honestly don't know how he manages to get through life being so bl**dy disorganised.

Back to work next week, i'm going back part time on a phased return.

My OH misplaced his woolly hat last week and was moaning his head was going to be cold when he went to work. He eventually found it, but if he’d have put it in his work bag, it would have been safe....

I hope your return to work is successful. Pleased work have offered you a phased return. I work in HR and Occupational Health always recommend phased returns when someone has been on long term absence. I think many of our employees are more anxious about the thought of returning to work than the actual work itself, but once they’ve overcome that, it becomes much easier. What I do with staff is to agree a work plan with them, so that they don’t feel like they are taking on full time work in part time hours. If it is too much, you must speak up, don’t think you have to do it all yourself.

Thanks chanie, i'm going back 2 days to begin with and will build up depending on how I feel, i'm looking forward to going back and have missed everyone, but have popped in and seen people. My boss is lovely and won't let me do anything i'm not supposed to, I won't be able to lift or be outside with the children in case I get knocked, I also won't be doing any kind of PE/sport lessons :D.

I’m glad they are being supportive. Over on the employment boards, there are lots of examples of bad employers.
  • Morning. blowing a gale here, feel like hibernating.

Well after DH turned the house, garage, both cars upside down and rang his mum, he found his wallet down the side of the sofa.

Finances checked, small TT done, no ebay sales or survey payouts:(. Yesterday was aNSD though :).

Meeting a friend for lunch today, cheaper than going out in the evening, I will probably just have soup or a toasted sandwich. I hope to spend no more than £10. Which will come out of my personnel spends. I also need to buy a sympathy card today as someone I know has lost their Dad:(.

Debating what to do Friday, DH is off work for 5 days and wants to go to Cheshire Oaks to spend some money he got for Christmas, so does DS but DD wants to go to Trafford centre. I prefer Cheshire Oaks as well. Think it will be Cheshire Oaks and DD can have a strop, although I may defuse the situation with the promise of a trip to Trafford centre in February after her birthday.

Ha my dh is exactly the same, says I move things when he just can't look properly!

I like Cheshire Oaks because you can get some air between the shops, I absolutely hate shopping so shopping centres are my worst nightmare! Hope you have a good time on Friday.

Glad work are being so good with your return to work, make sure you don't do too much!

    Afternoon Pennywise,

My DH is the same, he can also lose her car keys just like that. The annoying thing is is that we have a drawer right by the door where the keys live but its obviously too easy to just pop them in there as he comes through the door!!! Glad he found his wallet though.

Hope lunch out was nice xx
