AppleCare alternative to mobile insurance

In your most recent email you suggest various companies for mobile phone insurance. AppleCare from Apple is cheaper than the iPhone insurance suggested when purchased with a new phone. It provides an extended warranty which other products do not. It does not cover loss but most people's house insurance would surely cover that? Is there a reason why it isn't given a mention? I've had AppleCare for the past 16 months and have been been very pleased with it.

- Because, like all Apple products, it's overpriced for just an extended warranty for an expensive and supposedly reliable product?
- Because, if buying directly from Apple, you have normal two-years warranty anyway, and after two years your phone costs so litle that is hardly worth wasting money on the extended warranty?
- Because, when relying on home insurance, you expect to pay more next year if you make a claim?
