What can I make with a glut of Stilton

Butternut squash and blue cheese risotto is nice. Last week I used some stilton mixed with cooked mushrooms as a filling for some YS staffordshire oakcakes. We've still got stilton in the freezer so I thought I might try some in wholemeal pancakes with mushrooms.0

Cooked apple and stilton in little pastry parcels are delicious. I usually do them kind of like a sigara borek with filo pastry, but they'd be just as good in puff pastry in rounds, squares or like a sausage roll.0

Stilton kievs.
Cut a slit in a chicken breast, shove in a lump of frozen stilton, wrap in bacon, and shove in the oven. Absolutely lush. I sometimes do that for me, whilst using cheddar for hubby.
I also like a bit of stilton on a plain pizza.Zebras rock0 -
Use blue stilton to top large flat mushrooms as a starter or light lunch.
I'd second the 'stilton sauce for pork' too.
We've had both pork & chicken in Roquefort sauce and also Gorgonzola sauce with pasta.
If I've got a lot of stilton, I'll just substitute that.0 -
I have put it in pastry before. Its nice in puff pastry if you grate it, then fold the pastry so it is a "layer".
Then if you aren't huge stilton fans, you just need to use a little.0 -
The ultimate pig out treat for us is a quality beef burger, salad, bacon, onion rings and creamy stilton sauce. It's a fantastic treat, with a few chips on the side.
Not had one for ages, now I'm craving it!
I kept Stilton in the freezer in various bits / sizes for over a year and it was just fine.0 -
Mustard and Stilton mash0

Parsnip and Stilton soup - I made this for the first time the other day, and Mr LW and I both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Normally I have to prize his grubby little paws off the Stilton if I want any to cook with!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have just thrown some into a pasta sauce. Usual type sauce with just veg, and it was really nice. I shall be freezing the rest to use in the same way .Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Blue cheese goes nicely with crispy bacon lardons as a jacket potato topping.0
