I seperated from my husband last year & thought I should shop around for a cheaper tv/phone/internet package. i am with Virgin media at present which costs upwards of £60 a month. So i phone sky to get their £26 a month package & book them to install. To get that I need to rent my phone line from BT. So i ring BT...i was on hold for 6 hours..yes 6 hours!..altogether. I was told it would cost me £129 for it to be reinstated. Along with the sky installation this was turning out to be an expensive exercise. but I figured over the years this would work out cheaper in the long run. I did not ever get through to the BT installation department as i said on hold for 6 hours over 4 days. I was passed from one person to another & was getting extremely cross. I e-mailed their complaints department..nothing..I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager..they were not there. the last communication i had was that they would ring me back....10 days later...nothing. Very ironic for a company supposedly experts in telecomuunications.
i rang sky back & cancelled my installation explaining that i couldn't do anything because it was impossible for me to get thorugh to BT & sky had lost a customer as a result. This was a completely pointless exercise & i am frustrated that i am trying to do the right thing & save money & faceless call centres are stopping my every step.
The cynic in me would say that BT are not interested in customers who just want to do line rental from them at £11 a month...we are not important enough.
Any advice anyone? Please?

More and more companies are putting their equipment into phone exchanges nowadays so you dont have to stay with BT if You dont want to. Just cut out the hassle for a less stressful life.
By the way jaymarsh, do you have an unlock code for an Orange locked Samsung E350E please m8. :PTo travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -

There was a code for the pre dec 2006 E350's but it resets the memory of the phone so you may lose phone book contact and pictures etc, the code is
*2767*3855#
I always suggest unlocking them yourself using the unlocking clip,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAMSUNG-UNLOCKING-D500-D600-E350-E730-E760-UNLOCK-CLIP_W0QQitemZ220143362536QQihZ012QQcategoryZ35210QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
then re-sell the clip on ebay and get the money back you paid for it. I have none in stock at the moment ot I would have posted you one.0 -
