Just booked a double at Premier Inn Gatwick North for 28 October @ £29.50 [non-refundable].

Also booked 2 course dinner including a pint [or short or glasss of wine, or softy], and a pig-out breakfast. Cost for 2 was £49.98.

    Total £79.48. Bargain.:)

Going to Malta for 4 weeks of Autumn sunshine.:)

Is it because it's half term, perhaps?

Most probably yes! First night of the half term, but i might still be tempted as we have a 6am flight, and this is so close. Weve used travel inn gatwick south before, but its a bus or taxi to the terminal, and getting up even earlier!

As above the Premier Inn North Terminal is the most convenient. However there is also the Premier Inn A23 which is usually cheaper and is only a 5 minute walk to the terminal (although the route isn't immediately obvious)

I recently did a 7 night Sleep/Park/Fly package for about £90. You park at the hotel for the night of your stay then drive to the long stay carpark in the morning and get the bus to the terminal.

Otherwise there are loads of B&Bs in the area most of which provide a cheap or free shuttle service - though if you have 6am flight then you'll only want the "bed" part of the deal.
  • The Britania Russhill Hotel in Horely runs a 24 hour shuttle bus, rooms are a bit dated but nice grounds to sit outside and relax with a pint. Not sure of the rates as we've only stayed as a room and parking package.

I stayed at the travelodge gatwick Central and used the shuttle bus to get to the airport, which ran every 10 minutes throughout the day and night

I paid about £30 for the hotel and £3 for the bus

Used to be my choice too, but North Terminal Premier Inn is far more convenient.

Surprised you got that quote. I have stayed there several times but have never got below about £49. Last time I looked it was about £75.
