Ok thanks for replying. I will call the citizens advice tomorrow, I feel well out of my depth with this stuff and the last thing I want to do is mess it up.

You say he is your boyfriend - when he moves in, will it be as your partner or as your Dad's lodger?

I can think of a couple of cases where parents gave one of their child's boy/girlfriends a place to stay but the youngsters weren't living together as a couple but as two individuals in the parents' home.

Why has your boyfriend had his HB suspended?

If he has been on SSP and then transferred to ESA he should still be receiving HB.

A visit to CAB (remember some of them are closed over this period so check their website) seems a sensible idea.
