    You have to be working at least 16 hours a week before you close your claim for JSA and claim NEA. NEA is paid at the single rate of £65 per week for 13 weeks and £33 pw for the next 13 weeks. If you are working 16+ hours but under 24, your partner can claim JSA herself with you as the partner on the claim (this is not the same as a joint claim), and she would declare any earnings you have.
