I moved from O2 to 3 network in June this year. Last week, quite by chance, I happened to look at my O2 account and discovered that it still had a credit balance on it.

I complained to O2 and they have promptly refunded the money - not much but it all adds up - but I want to advise all you to make sure you check after you move accounts because clearly O2 are weasels! And I dare say they are not alone.

I know this, because they have now sent me a letter that starts off "On closing your account we noticed that a refund is due back to you" ... yes, after six months and a complaint they noticed! Until then they kept their heads well down.
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..

Thank you for the link.. from which I see that O2 will not refund anything less that £20 without prompting.

I would say this is called theft, and surely OFCOM should make them pay their debts. I am surprised Martin Lewis seems to accept this situation so calmly.. it is not as if they need any prompting to collect money owed to them.

Interesting, I'd deliberately run my credit down to 25p when I moved from O2 payg in October 2014, expecting to lose it.
I moved to Tesco Lite, used a pac, topped up £10 and found I had £10.25 credit.
    I count that as a result. :)
    Move along, nothing to see.
