Moving to a new mobile contract
Options
I moved from O2 to 3 network in June this year. Last week, quite by chance, I happened to look at my O2 account and discovered that it still had a credit balance on it.
I complained to O2 and they have promptly refunded the money - not much but it all adds up - but I want to advise all you to make sure you check after you move accounts because clearly O2 are weasels! And I dare say they are not alone.
I know this, because they have now sent me a letter that starts off "On closing your account we noticed that a refund is due back to you" ... yes, after six months and a complaint they noticed! Until then they kept their heads well down.

Thank you for the link.. from which I see that O2 will not refund anything less that £20 without prompting.
I would say this is called theft, and surely OFCOM should make them pay their debts. I am surprised Martin Lewis seems to accept this situation so calmly.. it is not as if they need any prompting to collect money owed to them.If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. Interesting, I'd deliberately run my credit down to 25p when I moved from O2 payg in October 2014, expecting to lose it.
I moved to Tesco Lite, used a pac, topped up £10 and found I had £10.25 credit.
I count that as a result.Move along, nothing to see.0
