O2 Headache, help!
Options
I ordered a phone on contract from O2 on the 30th December. I paid £19.99 upfront. It was out for delivery on the 31st. For some unknown reason their system changed my address (removing the flat data) When it was passed to the courier so it went to some bloke down the road who refused it.
When I rang to enquire why it was showing delayed I was told of the address given to the courier. I definitely hadn't mistyped it as the billing address was correct. When I asked them to fix it I was told that as it was a new order I couldn't change the address.
After arguing for a few minutes and getting incredibly frustrated I gave up and asked to cancel the contract... Only to be told that I can't cancel until the phone is returned, which isn't really in my control. Plus the CSA advisor had spoken to the courier who confirmed that the parcel was refused and being returned. My sisters boyfriend has a similar problem and it took three weeks, and numerous calls for the phone to be returned and O2 charged him for a month of contract for the pleasure.
I'm feeling real anxiety about this now. I just want to cut my losses and forget the whole thing but without being out of pocket. Any advise on what to do to either speed up the return of the parcel or get them to just cancel on the spot?
Woe is O2, I should have listened to the little vote in my head telling me to steer clear in the first place

Well I sympathise, seems to be a mess, but it does sound a bit like a data entry problem to me and if so you might do better another time going in to an O2 shop and doing the deal there and then. Actually you can often get better deals that way too.
You could even go into an O2 shop tomorrow and talk to them you never know, they might help you sort things out.If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
