Misstara - how about cutoffs just below the knee if the mark is on the lower leg? They'd be more wearable then as we're not getting much sun at the moment :(

They can't have been very popular in our store we went in on the 9th they had a huge pallet full near they door, I doubt if they'd shift them all in a day. Wonder what they've gone up to.

Just raided by gift stash for some end of term gifts for my class co workers as I'm not sure if I'll be in that class next year.

A great idea, thanks silvasava :D

Today will mostly consist of clearing out/cleaning the old flat this morning followed by a late shift at work.

Lunch will be chicken, tomato and cheese melts which will use up the last of some mozzarella and a slightly squishy tomato.

OH gave me a pair of jeans which he bought in the charity shop and then found they didn't fit so making do with those - they're slightly too long so have turned them up.

No mending but have got the ironing pile to minimise at some point. Hope everyone has a good day :)

    Afternoon all,

I keep attempting and still haven't managed to catch up. I've had a few recent MMM projects. I took an old table we had and painted it for the garden. It won't last forever, but I reckon we'll get a couple of years use out of it. It saves us buying a garden table and working out what to do with this one. I also managed to re-purpose one of the two laundry baskets. After several different attempts I finally resorted to a saw and then laced ribbon around the top edge and sewed a fold-over lining out of an old sheet. Again, it won't last forever, but it will be useful for a bit longer. I still need to do the second one.

OH has cleared over 50 books. We could still do with clearing more, but it is a start.

We had several weeks of disruption to our normal schedule and we've gotten out of the habit of screen free evenings. I am still progressing on my knitting, I've done close to 1/3 of a scarf for OH, and my linus quilt top is ready to move to the next stage.

Cornishchick I like the bright pink tape! We have the ordinary silver variety on the pipes under out kitchen sink. We discussed the problem with the landlord who did not seem inclined to do anything about it and I got sick of it so I took matters into my own hands. I'll remove it before we move out.

, we get similar Ramadan deals at our local Mr Ts. Tinned tomatoes have also been 24p each and they had tinned pulses for awhile as well.

Just a quickie....the handle on my wash basket broke, so it's been regulated to the shed to coral bits, and I'm using a morriosns reusable big bag, and it's so much better, easy to carry when full and folds to nothing when empty :) don't think I'll replace the basket .

I had a smaller Ironing board that my neighbour gave to me that she was going to throw out about 5 years ago.I have used it ever since and at last night it fell apart, so I am back to using my larger one.
When I took it to the tip this morning I removed both of the covers from it
( why do folk put a new cover on top of the old one I wonder ,the old one wasn't that bad either :)) and after washing will give them to my DD for her ironing board as she too has a smaller one .

Nothing wrong with them ,but they won't fit my big board. Now I have to search for a larger cover for my big board as the cover is really almost worn through.
I got my big board free with my green shield stamps in 1973 and its a bit heavy, but great for curtains or sheets/duvet covers etc.

Last night I had to use an old doubled up sheet on it until I can find a new cover, but it worked Ok.

No cooking to do tonight as I'm at quiz night. Had my freebie coffee at Dobbies this morning at my U3A coffee morning.

So far haven't bought any food shopping this week which is good, only had one food shop so far in July and it was only around £16 odd so all's good in my world at the moment.Just over 4 weeks until my holiday so I'm not buying much at all and definitely making do with what I have in stock

Hello MMMers been busy so not posting as often as I use to. I went out for milk last night and managed to come back with 4 kilo of YS strawberries for 60p only 6p a punnet. I'd already been collection sugar for damson jam so I used 4 bags of my 39p sugar. I've still got 2 more bags so alright if more cheap fruit turns up. I got 20 jars for £2.16
Hugs to all those that need one x
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

    Been reading but not posting.
Have minimized rubbish from the garden including dumped tv's and chairs which the previous owner had buried in the garden.
Have mended a few items including a jumper and various bits for DS2.
Making do with veg from the fridge to use them up as the veg from the garden is starting to be ready to be picked.
