Thank you for stopping by SSG, good to see you back. Wow congratulations on your emergency fund, I'm well impressed, I keep spending mine on non-emergencies xx

So got a second interview for 2nd choice job, if I get it it won't be much of a pay rise, if any, however the pension is better, and I'll be able to sleep in my own bed every night PLUS I get a 10% off card for groceries

M&S card arrived, and 1 tank of fuel and a big shop and I've spent £100, so pay it off and wait for my £50 voucher

I got a motoring offence ticket, for being in a bus lane, for flips sake, I was only in it for about 50 yards while turning left. £65 down, it feels like monopoly this game, in one hand and out the other!!

Away all week, racking up the expenses and nicking all the hotel soap...

My favourite time of the month, mortgage payment made, and signature updated. Overpayments/emergency fund saving another 42p per month. :D

    Here's a chalenge, can I get it to <£120000 by Christmas??? :j

I’ve managed to put £1456.62 into the offset account this month, I’ve actually no idea how really, well some of it was owed expense payments, it wasn’t until I counted it all up tonight thought that I realised what is amounted to! I’m going to keep piling it in there, until I have enough to pay off the CC, and then it will be gone, and never again will I put anything on the CC that I can’t pay off within the month, you’d think I’d have learned the first time!

Not much else to report, just plod plod plodding along

I have news....I got the job :j:j:j I actually won't be any better off really, the salary is the same, but I will have travel expenses getting there and back, but the pension is pretty awesome, they pay in 11%. Also a lovely company to work for, and much better long term prospect, plus I won't be living out of a suitcase and can sleep in my own bed every night. So well chuffed all round, I have to work 3 months notice though, just wondering how much soap and teabags I can gather before I leave!

I haven't been very good this week, I had a coffee shop coffee yesterday and took DD for a burger today. Everything feels a little out of control today, I need to file some more expenses and pay off a couple of amounts I have on CC for work related expenses. Also I booked a spur of the moment mini break to Bruges in December, it was only £99 each for 3 nights, but still, there will be all the extras to pay for... (I did get £18 cash back through TCB though :T)
