Welcome back! I can't believe how long this thread was going before I even knew it existed, could have saved a lot a long time ago.

Just taking a little break at work as it is so cold I have had to resort to wearing my gloves. Which is making typing a little difficult so I apologise if there's any weird mistakes!

We had quite a sort out over the weekend and threw away a bunch of crockery that had been chipped. There was just no cupboard room for it anymore. The kitchen is lovely now.

We'd also been having trouble with our bathroom since we moved into the house (almost 2 years ago) with the paint pealing off the wall at every opportunity and it was just constantly soaking. After trying loads and loads of different ideas we finally put plastic on the walls - it took me a long time to agree to this as I was scared the bathroom would look like a chip shop, H2B found one that was in wood effect though so I agreed - and the bathroom has been great ever since, it only went on 3 out of 6 walls. Anyway, this is all leading up to Saturday in Dunelm where there was a lot of bathroom items in the 50% off sale. We took the 2 second decision to buy a cupboard with a mirror to go above the sink but it didn't seem to be in the sale. When I got to the counter it didn't come up half price so I decided to ask the sales assistant if it was and he put it down to £19.99. this then forced us to tidy up the other overflowing cupboard which seemed to be just a mess and only had 1 or 2 spare products in it. So a good weekend had here!

I found in my wedding cupboard some freebie moisturisers, used a garnier one last night which I didn't like very much and a nivea one this morning which was much nicer. Will find out the names when I get home.

A UU of superdrug orange and satsuma shower gel - was really nice and I loved the smell. Replaced with original source lime and have one more superdrug in the cupboard. So considering I haven't bought a shower gel since I joined this challenge last summer I am down to the FINAL 2!!

Yup, I read it this morning, I would love to get some more of their stuff, I trust CH when it comes to skincare. If she says it's good then I want it! Unfortunately anything else will have to wait, as I have plenty of everything across all categories! When I've UU everything in a category then I will treat myself to something nice.

It's only been in the last 6 or so months that I have started to take my skincare seriously, before I rarely used to anything other than splash my face with a bit of water etc. I can really see a difference now! My skin has cleared up so much. I still have room for improvement, but I'm definitely getting there.

I'm so jealous you got the Cult Beauty box. I put myself on the waiting list even though I knew I couldn't afford it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: maybe next time once I have paid off some more of my debts! :D

Great news about the improvement in your skin, well done. I have been gifted with good skin and looked after it fairly well, but was left floundering a little after menopause, I too wish that I had found CH earlier and understood more of the principles of skin care and the needs of my own skin. Apart from some lines (cannot turn the clock back) I am really happy about it, I have very sensitive skin at times, but through reading CH and the comments on her blog I have evolved a great set of rescue products, expensive and no cleanse, tone, moisturise and out the door anymore, many more steps, but well worth it.

I decided 1st box did not have enough suitable products, 2nd I really wanted, but was touring Scotland with hardly any internet signal, so decided to put a household purchase on hold and try for this box, it was a bit of a scramble as I did not get the e-mail, but managed to apply to the list again and got one:j:j:j:j Good incentive to bust the debts and aim for a box in the future perhaps. I needed to put some dental work onto a card, so need a kick to get that clear too, perhaps will put money away for every UU and non purchase for a while (have resisted ALL the sales:D

    Welcome back roguey.

    I have a candle uu

Aromatherapy Associates Joy Candle - this is a gorgeous 3 wick highly scented candle, my gripe with it is it doesn't burn anywhere near as long as they say and it leaves quite a bit of wax in the bottom which at their prices is annoying.

  • Hi rogueylawyer, nice to see you back. Hope you enjoy treating yourself.
    Some UUs

Miller Harris Coeur de fleur candle lovely smell, wba if I saw it in TKmaxx again (unlikely)

Arran Aromatics Just Grapefruit candle not so keen on this but was quite effective
Origins modern friction I really dislike this. It's so painful if you get it in your eyes and it reminds me of the paste you use to clean stainless steel, in smell and texture.

Agonist white oud came from a perfume society box. WNB

Salon Science reglosse serumI would definitely buy this. I am always sceptical about people saying they've found the one thing that works for their hair, which is what British Beauty Blogger said, but I am forced to agree. It's really good stuff. Need to look into where it's on offer.

    INS
2 samples of la Roche posay c15

    UU's
    49) Magic of Christmas fun WNBA I have a love and hate relationship with these. They are okay but not my preferred scent.

    50) leader amino moisture mask WBA fitted well, saturated and hydrated my face.

    51) tony moly foot peeling socks. WBA takes a while for your feet to peel, have used these and they work well. Think I have 1 or 2 more.

    52) future primitive cold pressed soap ( can't remember name of scent) WBA I find these go soft if used whole so I normally chop them into half or even quarters. I did not with this so i had to dry it out a few times to harden it up. Lovely soap.

    53) bodyshop ginger shampoo WBA still my favourite shampoo, replaced with the same.

    54) girlZ only shampoo WNBA a cheap shampoo which came from a set I bought in a charity shop last summer. I was okay a bit too harsh for my liking.

    One UU Today

    9) Bajaj Almond Drops Non Sticky Hair Oil with Vitamin E. LOVE LOVE THIS. WBA in a bigger bottle. It really cools my head after a long stressful day...smells quite normal too and pure rather than chemicals. I'm going to have to finish my loreal oil before I get this oil.
  • ValM, Maddie, Rdone, Dolly, PlumPudding thanks for the welcome back! Look forward to catching up with you all. Life has been... interesting, but I'm getting there :)

Maddie at the risk of enabling you, have you tried Neom candles? I have one burning right now, and every last drop seems to get used up and they last *ages*. I'll go hide now :rotfl:

    Two more items out

    2. Lacura Aqua-Complete Multi Intensive Serum H20. It was nice and fab for the price, but I'm very frustrated by the last 10mm that I can't get out. Still, for less than a fiver it's not worth chopping my fingers off trying to open it with a knife so I will graciously admit defeat.

    3. L'Oreal miss Manga Mega Volume Punky. This came in a beauty box and Miss Manga is my HG but I cannot *stand* this one. Makes me look like sad spiders are sitting on my eyes. Can't even bear to use it up, so it's a TA.
  • A Couple a UU here: Wilko Chocolate Orange body scrub & Wilko Fruits chocolate orange body butter. WNBA the scrub made my skin itchy.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
