got a new foundation to try instead, anything would be better. after the primer and foundation mess-up i think i will try things on in the privacy of the house (and not scare the public).

The only out was to re-purpose the remainder of timotei shampoo for laundry detergent. The clothes came out clean and forgetting to buy persil was not a big issue.

it sounds like everyone else had a good day getting some nice in's and resisting in other cases.

But at least you now know that these products don't suit you and next time you buy them you will be able to consider the type of ingredients that don't work. Have you ever bought makeup from QVC. At least with them you have a 30 day money back guarantee.

I also repainted my nails last night and am wearing Sephora by OPI Break a leg warmer. One of my very favourite colours that I won't be able to replace when it is UU. My nail polish remover is getting very low, probably just one application left so I'll need to go and get some more before the weekend.

Oh no, were you able to salvage it?

I'm going to have to make a superdrug order I think. I've run out of night cream and my powder is getting to a dangerously low amount. I'm at the point now where I don't even want to buy anymore as I'm concentrating on saving and trying to declutter. But if I have nothing else to use in it's place it'll have to be done! I'm declare once they've arrived.

I have a uu and it is one I thought would never end:

No7 Mineral Blush in Rose Pink mixed with Bare Minerals Blush in Vivacious - both of these were big pots and loose blush so they made one huge pot. The No7 was too light and the BM too dark but together they were pretty good. I have another pot of the BM to use which I will have to try and use on it's own.

and another uu of epic proportions:

Philosophy The Gingerbread Man Shower Gel, Bubble Bath & Shampoo 946ml - you can imagine the size of this monster, it was nice but smelt of ginger beer and not gingerbread, I still liked it but WNBA.

I managed to behave this week with no IN's, probably because I'm still waiting on a few things to arrive from Asia that I purchased over the Christmas season.

Tonight I'm going to go through my pile of nail polish and pick out duplicates and colours that are similiar and give them to a work colleague.

6) EOS lip balm. I threw this rubbish away. I bought it because everyone was raving about it, but the more I used it the drier and sorer my lips got. Then I googled and found lots of women have had these problems. Why do you only find the negative stuff after you buy?!

7) D&G The One Desire sample. Only used half of this as I didn't like the smell.

Hi everyone,

Popping in to report that I don't have much to report!

I'm plodding along nicely, and hopefully my Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser should be gone in the next few days. Alongside it in the morning I'm now using a sample of Dr Brandt Glow Ruby crystal retinol hydracreme sachet 1ml. Should get a couple of uses out of that sachet. It's not quite moisturising enough to use on it's own on my dry skin. I'm also in the process of UU another sample sachet, this time of Darphin Anti-Fatigue Soothing Eye Gel 1ml.

Oh, I just remembered I've UU S&G Sugar Crush 100ml body spray
and TA an Avon nail varnish. It's one of the Speed Dry 30 second varnishes in the shade Lure. Probably had it around 18 months and obviously not really used it before. Painted 2 coats on my nails night before last and it was so thin and patchy, and it chipped like mad yesterday. So last night I took it off, offered it to my SIL and niece who both declined so it has gone in the bin!

My UU's for January are now at 13 pleased with that and am hopeful I will get a couple more before the end of the month.

You know I won the Tata Harper stuff in a Caroline Hiron's giveaway at Xmas? Well there was obviously a mix up at Tata Harper, because yesterday I received the prizes again, and the person who had packed up the prize this time also threw in a Boosted Eye Contouring Mask :eek::eek:
I nearly fainted with delight, but then I felt guilty and emailed the company to tell them they had sent me my prize twice. They were lovely and replied saying that I could keep it!!!!!! It's too much stuff for me to UU however, so I am going to split the 4 cleansers between my SIL and friends. I'm keeping the eye mask though, so that's an IN for me. What a lovely company. I'm so excited to finally try one of them when my current cleanser is UU :D

I really need to do an inventory of my make up. That's my next project. How many eyeshadows and lipsticks does a girl need? Got a free sample of YSL's reformulated Touche Eclat foundation in the post yesterday. Excited to try that!

Wow!! Lucky you, you must have been overdue some good karma.

I've found that an inventory seems really daunting, so I've just done one cupboard/drawer/box a day and it hasn't seemed so scary that way.
