  • Evening all, busy day getting house jobs done today and a couple of UU:
    Burt Bees Lip Balm mango
    LUSH Christmas Eve bubble bar
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

    3 more UU's to report!

1)Skin Pep Brightening Enzyme & Acid Peel 3.5ml sample
    2)Elements Bath Fizzer
    3)Lush Dashing Santa Bath Bomb

Had a nice relaxing soak in the bath this evening to try and relax before work again tomorrow. The ancient Elements bath fizzer was a huge disappointment. Could barely tell I had added it to the bath, so I chucked in my Dashing Santa I bought in the Lush sale. Much more exciting, nicely scented and turned the water red! OH declared it looked like a murder had taken place in the bath :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The elements bath fizzer was on my PP list, so that's another item I can cross off it!

I also found in my box of samples (I'm determined to start using them up), an enzyme/acid treatment. Never used them before, OMG it was quite painful! I guess it's a sign it's working, as my skin is baby soft atm. No pain no gain?

    Total UU's so far is 7 :)

Good to see so many folks up for the Finish 6 by Spring challenge. I found my MAC Prep and Prime under the bathroom sink along with a cosmetic bag containing 3 LUSH bath bombs I bought for Emma prior to Christmas. Reminded her they are there and also cut open a tube of St a Tropez in shower self tan which she had chucked. Still loads of product in there. I've cut open my tube of hand cream too within which there is also tonnes of product.

Maisie, reading your list of items in your PP list was a blast from the past. I used to have No7 Highland Mist lipstick and still have the nail colour I think. I also have the Chilli lip stain. I love the No7 lip stains and also the Avon ones.

Am now in bed catching up on the thread and messages in general after spending the evening catching up on Fargo Season 2. Am half way through and really enjoying this season more than Season 1. Has a brilliant cast.

Take care all. Chat soon. X

  • I have now decided on my PP for this month and is as follows;

    1 JPG Classique perfume
    2 JPG Classique shower gel
    3 JPG Classique body lotion
4 Elemis tranquil touch body polish
    5 Elemis pro-radiance beauty balm
    6 Elemis gentle rose exfoliator
    7 Garnier micellar water
8 Vaseline intensive care cocoa radiant body lotion
9 Collection vintage blush eyeshadow pencil
10 Sally Hansen hard as nails

I'm really bad at using body lotion so put 2 lots in to make me use it. Also, I'm trying to stop biting my nails at present so hoping by putting a product in here will help. They are so weak from years of biting :(

This is my PP list carried over from December. I will check to see if anything to be added for January.

30ml Aveda Pure Indulgence Style Prep
150ml Elemis Tranquil Touch Body Cream
50ml Gatineau Melatogenine Anti aging cream
    [STRIKE]15ml M&S Age Restore Eye cream[/STRIKE] 03.01.16
15ml Clarins Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate SOS treatment
    200ml LE IBST
300ml Molton Brown bath & shower
    5ml S5 Calm Serum

I should UU most of them this month, but am rationing the Aveda for special occasions, it is my HG, but want to UU all the "other volume boosters before I part with any cash to replace it:(

    2 GA
Leighton Denny Party at the palace which I have included in a belated Christmas gift, it is a lovely purple, but I know my friend will love it, so worth the sacrifice:D
Elemis Jasmine & Rose Milk Bath 290ml also gifted

Used up moo goo shampoo sachet, was so disappointed it did not launder, thankful it was a free sample. I normally love moo goo.
Finished a dr hauschka shower gel- it was ok but the bath essence was lovely. The lancome eclat miracle is on its last legs.

Has anyone ever tried face atlier whitening or darkening foundations, to add to a foundation that is not matching the winter skin tone. I have seen it recommended in youtube videos by Lisa Eldridge and other articles. I think if it worked it- what a money saving product it would be to make your foundation that is lurking in a draw till June comes around- suitable for winter time. apparently, they can make the foundations paler or darker or add more yellow to a foundation that was a mistaken purchase. It would be great to know if it really works because it costs over £35

I've just seen on YouTube that The Body Shop is releasing these drops this year. Whether we will get them in the UK I don't know but would surely cost less?

I have one wee UU from today - not much but it still counts towards my total. I've also just started a Burts Bees foot cream which I got last Christmas.

    UU
Nivea Visage Purifying Facial Wash Gel 2ml sample - This facial wash was mildly exfoliating without irritating the skin. It wasn't at all greasy and felt light and refreshing.

I'm on a roll with UU perfumes that I've had lurking for years with a dribble in the bottom!

    UU

    1) Versace Crystal Noir 30ml- I used to love this 5+ years ago. Now not so much...there was literally only 1 use left in it!
    2) EL DayWear 50ml- PP item :D I love this stuff as a basic day moisturiser. Foundation applies nicely over it, and it is great on my dry skin. WBA, but no need as have a 15ml sample pot still in my stash.
    3) Lush Honey Trap lip balm- WDBA. Lush lipbalms are my HG, so moisturising and nourishing on my dry lips. I've really noticed a difference in my lips since using these almost exclusively, and I always put some on before applying lipstick etc too, and lipstick applies nicely over the top. Have now opened my Lush Lip Service balm. Another PP item.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm going to join this challenge today also!

I'll do a stock take this week of what I have in my boxes at home and see what I can get through.

I used up a lot of old Soap and Glory things and Sanctuary items for Secret Santa presents towards the end of the year so my stash will probably be a bit lower than it was. I also did a clear out in December and chucked out toiletries and make up I had for approx 6 years (I had sachets and 'souvenirs' from when I went travelling in 2009-2010!!!)

I'm guessing from what I know I have that I won't need to buy anything this month but I'll do as others do and make a list of what I plan to use up and how long I think it will be before I need to buy some new items.

This challenge will be good for me and will probably prompt me to use all the body creams I have in my boxes!
    #27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61

    #42 £2 Savers Club = £160

*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.
