new laptop stuck on microsoft account

Got a new laptop for xmas, just setting it up, managed to connect to internet then i created a microsoft account and it said please wait, its been like this for an hour now, the screen is blank and all i have is the curser.any ideas??

Also you don't have to set up a Microsoft account.
There is an option button somewhere on that screen, but it will not be obvious.Move along, nothing to see.0
