Wow, it looks like you've had a great day, would love to mystery shop a hotel... trouble is we have nobody to puppy-sit the hounds!
Enjoy!

I miss having a dog so much, nothing has quite managed to fill the labrador shaped hole in my heart. But, I have to say, it's nice to be able to do stuff like go away for the night or a day without having to worry. One day we'll get another dog, but not for a while.
Today, well, i met up with hubs for lunch as it's his last day of leave before going back to work tomorrow, but a cheap and cheerful pub so not a huge expense and now I don't have to cook tonight wahoo. He got paid today but was underpaid, so I've lowered the amount he needs to give to me (I'm the breadwinner) I could still manage to pay off the smallest debt with the new lowered amount, I'll sort it out next week.
I'm bored of being totally sober... we're at a party tonight and I'm driving, so I'll be sober today, but i think I might have a drink tomorrow, and not drink in the week. I have 2 hour long gym sessions planned on Saturdays so I can really only drink on Saturday or Sunday anyway.
I might not get on to post this weekend, but my plans are
Saturday
Gym, see a friend for coffee, meet my dad, clean boat, meet friend for drink with hubs after work, clean my car, meal plan for the week ahead.
Sunday
Cinema trip to see The Hateful Eight (Free because we have vouchers!) sort through clothes and find some to donate to charity/ebay if they're really good quality.
Have a lovely weekend all!0 -
I really need to sort through some clothes too, I always end up finding a reason to keep things. I've seen a post on Facebook about turning your hangers the opposite way until you wear the item and then after 6 months if any are still backwards you know you'll not wear it.
Clever, but doesn't really allow for seasonal wear... I mean, what about my novelty christmas jumpers? :rotfl:
Hope your weekend went well and you enjoyed your plans

I saw that too LMD - I had a wardrobe full of clothes (and some under the sofa) which I haven't worn in forever. I didn't manage to go through my clothes this weekend....the whole weekend didn't really go to plan. Hubs went out Saturday night, my friend cancelled, and so Sunday we went for a leisurely lunch instead as hubs was a tad hungover!
I have made an over payment on my CC, that should get cleared next month which is a very exciting thought. I should, if I am sensible I should be able to put a little bit more towards it at the end of the month. :j
I haven't been to the gym this week yet, I just can't face the thought of getting up at 5:45, and it's so busy just after work. I should really go tonight, but life is getting in the way a bit! Definitely for the rest of the week though.
I'll do some sums at lunch time, work out what I have managed to pay off this year.0 -
I was feeling so sluggish and bleh yesterday, partly i put this down to drinking, I shouldn't drink midweek (But hubs and I spent Monday night drinking and listening to David Bowie...) Anywhoo even though it was FREEZING I went to the gym afterwork and did week 7 of C25k and felt great. So I am knocking the early mornings on the head and will go after work, even though it's super busy right now. I also signed up to a boxing class which starts next Tuesday.
Had a no spend and no drink day yesterday, so yay. I do need to get some bits and pieces today though.
Not much else to report on the debt front. Should probably just ask my boss what my pay rise is going to be instead of wondering, I'll find out at the end of the month at the latest anyway.
Need to start looking into courses etc for professional development, my industry is constantly changing and I like to keep on top of things, so will try to go to as much as possible this year. Especially as I now have a more senior role.0 -
What a result - got tickets to see Stewart Lee (ones of hub's fave comedians) tomorrow night for £6 a ticket instead of £23 each! Bargain.0

Last night was so much fun! Really glad we went, and that I have more spare funds to take advantage of little last minute things like that.
I received news of my payrise which is about the mark I was budgeting for so thats good. Will only really see the difference once these debts start to clear, but it's looking likely that the bulk will be gone by July!! :j
CC will be paid off next month, and there will be around £100 left over to overpay on something else. Possibly more, as Hubs is away on training for the whole month, which means I only have to shop for myself and the cat food wise and I won't be going out midweek, so I should see some substantial savings. My intention is to meal plan meticulously and spend my evenings at the gym.
I'm out tonight for a work thing, and then after work tomorrow we head off the hotel. Going to take some beers with us to have in the room and hopefully enjoy a chilled out evening.
Hubs is working overtime on Sunday afternoon/evening, so I would like to get the housework done and then have a relax before hitting the gym and healthy eating hard again on Monday.
This week has absolutely flown by! I can't believe it's Friday already and only 2 weeks to payday! Normally I am skint by this time of the month, but I have plenty to see me through, and even treat myself should I want to! 2016 is going to be my year:T0 -
Update time as it's been a while since my last.
Not too much to report really, had our weekend away which was fantastic, really great hotel, will go back there as paying guests.
Looking forward to payday next Friday and clearing once of my CCs and starting on the next one. :j I will have shifted 1/4 of my remaining debts by the middle of Feb and feeling very motivated to keep this up.
Oh following a thread on here I also started a claim with 2 PDL companies to see if I am able to reclaim some of the interest I paid to them (these debts have been cleared for a while now) not expecting to actually get anything, but an interesting exercise none the less, as they really shouldn't have continued to lend to me (and I shouldn't have continued to use them...)
Not much else to report this week, will pop in again once payday arrives!0 -
offer of £239 from one of the 2 companies!0

How is it February already?!
January was a successful debt busting month, I am hoping for more of the same in Feb. Infact, hopefully more so, as hubs is away for a whole month so my food bill should be very tiny and the savings can go towards my debts.
CC1 will be cleared on Friday when hubs pays his share of the bills.
We have booked a weekend away in March so we can spend some quality time together after a month apart, the same chain we did our hotel mystery shop through, so looking forward to that. It's amazing that, along with clearing my debts because I'm just better at not wasting money we have spare cash to do these fun things. We have also booked a hotel for our anniversary in May.
My payrise didn't go through this month, but they are going to backdate my feb pay, so just 4 weeks to wait, annoying, but it just means I'll overpay more on my debts next month.
Slowly but surely the lbs are dropping too. I need to get into the habit of weighing and taking measurements however depressing it might be to begin with! I have had a friend join my gym and whilst hubs is gone I plan to spend all my spare time there.
Total paid off debts in Jan - £447.12 - debts outstanding £4545.500
