    Happy kondoing.

Once the next charity bag comes through the door I have a few books and bits and bobs to go in it. There is now storage in the upstairs bedroom but it is far too hot today to sort out boxes.

I roused myself to make a tray of lasagne and have four portions to freeze as well as having some for lunch. High time I dragged the breadmaker out and started to make my own bread again as it is so much tastier and cheaper.

Dishwasher is loaded and will wait till it is a bit cooler to change my bedding later today. Superking is a beggar to sort but lovely to have lots of space to find a cool spot when it is warm.

Might be going out with dd tomorrow and not sure if anyone is coming over on Sunday or if I meet another DD in York.

    Hello all

Not checked in lately, as very little to report....

Except that yesterday I cleaned the house in 2 hours - TWO HOURS....

Now I can't say it was perfect - the tops of the picture frames didn't get done :p. But this house usually takes 4!!!
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I seemed to have lost all motivation to Kondo or do anything house-wise. I have a weekend away coming up, so I'm in holiday mode, the sun is shining & I'm eager to hit the beach so have been buying new wet suit shoes & the like ready for the beach.
We're also on the cusp of finalising on buying a house, so I'm in half a mind to sort stuff as we move into the new place.
Maybe along the lines of the Minimalist Packing party, and just leave stuff in boxes until it's needed, then throw it.

Not done much this week one way and another RL keeps getting in the way! GQ I have a vision of you treading the rug like La Bella Marguerite ( old popular song for you yougsters!) So beautiful to see ;)
Im off on the high seas with DS1 ( well the marina just round the corner - don't want to get too far out of my comfort zone) tomorrow coming back on Monday. DH meeting us tomorrow eveningby car. Some serious Kondoing of various beverages of an alcoholic nature is on the agenda methinks
Have a good weekend all and hope you get to enjoy the sunshine.

I know what you mean. I am trying to sort as I pack to move, but I seem to make little progress and just end up having randomly mixed boxes of stuff!

I have disposed of some bean bags I made some years ago, and even more weeds from the garden. I have also listed my first ever items on the bay of e, they are collectables so will give it a go and then donate.

My amazing energy company have just advised me that they aren't expecting me to pay for the energy since my meter stopped working, so I am even more impressed with them than I was before!

My first attempt at bread making for over a year was not perfect by any means - a bit sunken and heavy but is at least edible. Good toast maybe? :o

Older dd suggested that me, another dd and she and her husband go to Roseberry Topping tomorrow and climb it , if only partway.

Will need to nip out tomorrow morning and get rolls with some cold meat etc to take with us. Have a present of some new tops for one dd and variety pack of coffee pods for another.

    Have a great weekend.

Elona I went on a sourdough breadmaking course for my birthday and it was worth every penny for the two bits of knowledge I came away with.

They showed us the difference between just putting a loaf in the oven and putting it in a Le Creuset casserole which was just big enough to hold it. The casserole was preheated and it was - interesting! trying to flip the loaf from the proving basket into the casserole. They don't use that for their baking of course but they were trying to show us the difference baking the loaf in a steamy environment made.

The other thing they said to do was when we were baking ciabatta which wouldn't fit in a le Creuset so it had to go on a baking sheet. They said to put a big pan of water on the shelf underneath to create steam. Again it made a huge difference. I have NEVER been able to bake bread that wasn't a substitute for a house brick before and when I tried these methods at home my bread came out really well

Didn't do my waistline any good however (though sourdough doesn't upset my digestion I am gratified to know) so I've had to lay off the baking for a while

One of life's great unfairnesses is that losing weight is not as quick and easy as putting it on!!
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Finished the 5th book in a series of 7 whilst sitting in the sun today:D. Book now in CS bag.
I shopped from my wardrobe when i remembered a pale green linen skirt that could be great for the hot weather. It was (was) too small....it is just perfect now :D

    Win, win.

DH has accepted that his new picture is located in just the right place :). He has, however, moved the small wall clock from that same wall. So now i keep glancing at where it use to be!!

I shall kondo our tax returns tomorrow, once the rain starts!

Oh, and someone paid me £200 they owed me _party_

Am looking forward to the rest of the weekend!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Not such a good night's sleep today, was woken by the cat bringing me a mouse in and OH snoring.

Off to Parkrun soon - I still can't run the distance, but I do enjoy the camaraderie so keep plugging away. Managed to find a sports bra half price so I have sent the one that was too small to rag bag and I look forward to being correctly supported!

I will plan in a nap early this afternoon so I will kondo and pack around it. I should manage to pick up some boxes when I am out. It's still too hot to get in the loft so will leave that for now, and focus on books at both houses today. I will be able to move the bookcases and possibly flat pack one or two at mums so we can see a visible difference.
Looking forward to GQs updates today
