Had a good tidy in the bedroom today, a bin bag of rubbish went out! Was very pleased as I had done the bedroom but surprised it had snuck back in, unless it was just stuff I'd missed on the first sweep.SPC~12 ot 124

Alternatively, I am not a squash soup fan but I love a pumpkin pie made with BNS.
Yes floss thanks, no-one on the site wanted my spare bns seeds last year, so the seeds will be in the bin tomorrow and the chopped bns from my freezer will be in the compost tomorrow too, back to my soil to nurture my other veg this coming year. I never but never look on my composted food as `wasted` as it is anything but0 -
kittie - I understand! - I grew runner beans for years - prolific crops, gave them to neighbours, family, friends.... I can't stand them (hate the taste and the 'squeak' on my teeth) and OH would only ever eat 2 or 3 as part of a roast dinner on a Sunday - and only fresh, not frozen. I used to end up making runner bean chutney with them (surprisingly tasty!) and took the decision last year that - even if they are the easiest thing to grow - I wasn't going to waste my time, garden space nor freezer space with them. Spare seeds are going to my mum - who loves them!
Bag of random small items given to shoebox appeal this week - yeay! All kinds of things too small/ not worthwhile for a CS but perfect as part of a shoebox
Nine boxes of priced up items going to a Nearly new sale this weekend - am hoping as little as possible comes back! Anything unsold will be looked through and some will end up donated to CS next week, some ebayed and some saved towards next NNS (I find toys sell best later in the year, but as I always have the same seller number and we have unlimited tickets for our seller's pack I just stick them in at earlier sales anyway - some of them will go, some probably not until next time)
2 items sold on ebay yesterday - still waiting for payment for one, but will try and get other posted this afternoon. Small items, but good to see them goAlso posted off a small box of items to Ziffit on Monday.
Small steps, but all add up

Today is green and brown bin day. So I'm going to clean the bins eughhh! Then scrape off the stickers that dd2 stuck on them 16 years ago , road runner etc! And then stick on some new stickers with number and street name on that I got from Amazonia!
First I'm going to wash up and run round with the dyson stick then mop, hope it doesn't rain .have a good day all xFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Only small amounts of paper have been leaving this week, but leaving they are. Now have piles on every surface in kitchen, living room and office so will be able to start going through them properly and get rid of a lot more.
Still way too much on the desk but as long as I keep chipping away and making sure paper coming in doesn't hang around, this should be the turning point that I've been looking for.
Just hope that the extra work being done to get things sorted for the new house doesn't send me off into fatigue again. Feeling tired today which is a nicer feeling than fatigue but need to ensure I stay upright.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Hoping to kondo a guest soon. He is from the Netherlands, looking for a job in Belgium, and temporarily registered at our address. I think I wrote about him earlier, he has a low voice and doesn't stop talking. He has spent a week with his gf and their son, and is now back with us to jobhunt. I helped him send out about 20 job applications last night, hoping he will find something soon, so that he can start househunting and leave. I'm happy to help, but not happy to have a housemate. I'm a loner, and can only stand dh to be around me for more than a fortnight, I even tell dds to go play elsewhere from time to time. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590

Got the bins done ! The stickers took ages to get off!! They look much improved now.
Hubby won't be happy I broke the hosepipe nozzle the bit that clips to the tap:eek:
I really shouldn't touch any garden electricals as I'm notorious for breaking them. Managed to jet wash the path at side of house before it broke.
Unfortunately the bag of bark I was going to put on the border was actually soil improver, and I couldn't get the large shrub out that I was trying to move, so that's another job for hubby, rain stopped play then, so as I was hungry it was time for a shower and lunch.
I need to make some pizzas for the freezer at some point this afternoon, but need to dry my hair first.
Kittie if you lived nearby I'd have had the butternut, I love it hubby not so much , he only told me this after I'd been buying it for years! So now I buy small bags of frozen ,unless I'm making soup, it was extra nice when I added some curry paste.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Tidied the underwear and sock draws. Chucked loads, carefully foldered the rest and placed back in draws. Now very tidy.
Love butternut squash but dislike runner beans. I am not growing veg this year. having a break and emptying the freezer.0 -
Sieberie, I'm with you. I couldn't stand a house guest indefinitely...
My kondoed chest infection has returned, this time with tonsilitis. Deep joy....
I feel better than last time, although the cough is worse, which together with the tonsilitis is quite wearing.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Looking at my small raised bed veg plots and decided I'm not growing potatoes this year. I never get much from them so will try something else. Leaning towards something green like chard or perpetual spinach. I love runner beans so will be growing them again - I've just opened a 2k pack that I froze last year & have one more pack left which should keep us going until this year's crop.
Need to inventory my freezer but it's in the garage and too cold for me at the moment. Not much going on the Kondoing front but when I stripped the bed yesterday I had a moment of joy at the neatness of the airing cupboard - small pleasuresSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
