WeeMidge, I love that, You know when you've been Kondo'd! :rotfl:

finally cleared my To Do list of the 2 recurring items that I kept carrying over....... sewing took 10 mins for one item and went well, second item took almost 30 mins because oncce I had 'finished' I realised another seam had given way. They were DH work trousers and the seams at the crotch had pulled apart.......... I am sure it was due to cheap thread being used on construction, surely?! ;)

I also took apart 2 nozzles from K4rcher power washer and serviced them. One had been slightly sticking so did not function brilliantly, now is good! I had to buy a set of allen keys though because we had none small enough, paid £1 for full set and they will be handy - a MSE bargain in Poundland end of range stuff.

Right, another To Do list awaits and all items are time critical today so I must shape up and get going. Will pop back later. Have some joyous moments through the day, no matter how small!

I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

What is it about towels that they seem to have such allure? Apparently my Dad 'aquired' some white towels for me when Mum was pregnant. There is part of one left in the garage that is now 70!!! You've all reminded me that my linen cupboard needs a revisit especially as the contents have increased after we sold the Caravan. I've managed to cull a pile of junk jewellery to a friend but I do need to organise the remainder.
GQ - the Lottie sounds as if it's being productive - I planted my runner beans this year in two enormous tubs I'd got from a freegler - it's turned out to be more successful than I hoped & they look really good in the garden - like large topiary :)
Off to kondo the housework lol!

When we cleared my parents home of 30 years after my mum died in 2005, we found several rather thin Harrington nappies in the bottom of the airing cupboard that had been bought in 1959 for oldest brother and had done all 4 of us, and been used as emergency nappies for my two boys in 1986/88. I think she must have been keeping them for Justin's grandkids!

Wee Midgie, love the saying, and ever sooo glad your "piles" got sorted

Kaz my old tea towels are bagged in the garage for when I paint or defrost freezer etc. Just after I kondoed tea towels was at dd2 s and couldn't find any clean ones ,found out later she only had 2 ! So I I gave her a couple of spares.
The only time had problems with washer was when we had conservatory built the lads digging out had pushed the pipe from outside in :T I got home to a small swimming pool coming out of kitchen into my lounge! ! I just started mopping like billy O !
Drizzling here this morning so my gardening plans are on hold.
Will mooch around wondering what else I can kondo!

It looks as if I might have to kondo the large freezer in the garage. The electrics kept tripping out and not being able to reset. By a long process of turning things off on one circuit I have narrowed it down to the freezer or a problem with the boiler.

The builder is popping round later this morning so might see if he can help. Ideally I would like to replace the freezer today as I have a load of meat being delivered and family arriving tonight

I got an email from M&S sparks with my offers this week. 1 of them is 20% off towels:rotfl:No thanks I have just dyed my cream ones deep pink.
Can I pick your brains girls. I have Km the whole house but my kitchen has an echo. I have put a large rug under the table and chairs and cushions on the chairs but it still echoes. Any thoughts. I still have lots of stuff out on the worktops and I have a huge dresser on 1 wall with a shelf of books so don't know what else to try.

    Hi everyone

Just had to logon to say to Mav - you are my inspiration - please carry on.

Also the GQ comment, highlighted by Karmacat re circulating inventory, especially of towels, has just been a lightbulb moment for me. Wow!

I learn so much on here, thanks guys.

    Curtains, tablecloth?

    Showoff! ;)

The builder gave me a lift to buy a new smaller freezer and I saved £50 in the sales. Stuff has now been put away and old freezer is empty. Just hoping that has solved the electrical problems.

DD is coming round tonight so not sure what to cook but probably something simple. Still humid even though it is raining which is uncomfortable.
